Why does Satan hate us so much? The value of your soul.

1Pet 5:8; Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

Why is Satan called our adversary? Why is he trying to kill us? Not physically kill us ( although that may be true too ) but spiritually kill us.

John 10:10; "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Rev 12:17; So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Luke 8:12; "Those beside the road are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they will not believe and be saved.

John 8:44; "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Eph 6:11; Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

Why does Satan try so hard? Why does he put so much effort into this?

2Tim 2:26; and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.

Rev 12:12; "For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time."

I have to believe Satan knows where all of this is ending. He knows where he is going to end up. ( Rev 20:10; ) but yet, he is fighting... every second of every day. Why? Have you ever stopped to consider the value of your soul?

Now it's one thing to realize how hard Satan is fighting for people's souls. It's another to realize Jesus died to save yours. How valuable is your soul to God?

Eph 6:12; For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

1Thes 3:5; For this reason, when I could endure it no longer, I also sent to find out about your faith, for fear that the tempter might have tempted you, and our labor would be in vain.

God made man in His own image and gave him (man) authority over all of the works of His hands which included angels. Lucifer rebelled against God to try and get the exact same things. No wonder the devil hates man and God.

Mat 13:44 "The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field. When a man discovered it, he buried it again. He was so delighted with it that he went away, sold everything he had, and bought that field.

Mat 13:45 "Also, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant who was searching for fine pearls.
Mat 13:46 When he found a valuable pearl, he went away, sold everything he had, and bought it.

Mat 13:47 "Also, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea. It gathered all kinds of fish.
Mat 13:48 When it was full, they pulled it to the shore. Then they sat down, gathered the good fish into containers, and threw the bad ones away.
Mat 13:49 The same thing will happen at the end of time. The angels will go out and separate the evil people from people who have God's approval.
Mat 13:50 Then the angels will throw the evil people into a blazing furnace. They will cry and be in extreme pain there.

God considers the treasures in the fields worth giving all he had to purchase the fields to get the treasure, which is the soul of man. God spared not his own Son in order to retrieve his treasure.
