I wasn't sure which main thread to post this in, so I picked Ethics & Morality. Even as I typed the title of this post, I had to use lower case letters due to the word of The Word, "church". To my knowledge, the capital letter "c" Church = the Body of Christ = Israel = the faithful who choose IEHOVAH, the Christ.
So, back to the title. The algorithm displayed a Buzzfeed article featuring quotes from anonymous users answering the magazine rep's question, "Why did you leave the church?" ... Most of the responses shown were from people who seemed to have suffered abuse from Liars, and these particular victims still believe that their experiences prove anti-Christ behavior is the way to live and die.
I chuckled just now; not at this mass tragedy, but at the fact that these poor souls still bothered to respond at all. There is still a chance. Hope.
I have left a handful of Christian churches - popular ones included - for the same varied reasons the commenters shared in that one article. But, as an adult I know the hypocrisy and iniquity I recognize is first my own. That's anyone's challenge, really. But despite my stupidity and weakness, I hope my struggle is not in vain. I really do want to be with everyone I like and beyond, in the glorified existence of the presence of Our Father God who created the heavens and this beautiful earth.
