Hello I was wondering if you could help with a question I have. In Revelations it says that satan will be bound for a thousand years, when the milleneum of Jesus starts. Then after a peaceful 1000 years satan will be loosed once more to try and decive the nations once more. Is this so anyone born during Christ reigne on earth will have to make their choises as all of us living now will have to make to follow God or not. ?

Basicly yes.. every man will be tried tested and true. God wants a people who will deny themselves, and obey him... no matter what. There will be no room for rebellion, in the Kingdom of God. This is whats called the Gog and Magog war... but it doesnt last long, God will consume their eyes in their sockets by sending fire out of heaven to destroy them.

God bless

I think the main thing here is belief. If Satan is bound every person on earth will have no other choice than believe in Jesus, and follow Jesus. If he is loose to roam earth and spread his wickedness, people have another choice, don't they? This could be compared to the beginning when Satan "converted" the angels in heaven to follow him, instead of God. The same principals apply, they were given a choice, stop worshipping Lucifer and worship God, but a third worshipped Lucifer. I think people will be given the choice again, follow Jesus or follow Satan and they will have to choose. The main thing is that we won't be here to worry about such things, Jesus would've raptured us up to Him.

Ok I think I have some of it, but the people still remaining on earth then , are they all unbelievers. ? I have been taught that those Raptuered are those who believed on Jesus. Those who were not are left here on earth. So will the ones left here for the 1000 year earthly rule of Christ, turn and belive on him? I have been told if you don't make the Rapture then you are for lack of a better word out of luck. I've always wondered in Revelations when the angel anserws Jhons question about the great multitude which no man could number who had come out of the great tribulation. If these where people who had missed the Rapture , but then were given a chance and finaly got it and excepted Christ , because it says they washed there robes clean with the blood of the lamb.

Also in Matthew 24:29-31 jesus says this.......

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

I took this to mean he will gather other elect as in people after the tribulation , or is that the rapture it is talking about. ?

Hey greyfeather,

Check out these verses:

Rev 3:12
Rev 21:2
Rev 21:10

Jerusalem will be brought to earth by God for the millennium reign. The dimensions of the city are talked about as well. I believe the size of the new Jerusalem is around the size of the continental United States.

The way I understand it, and I am by no means an authority, the rapture will happen somewhere near the tribulation (<- room for interpretation here), then, the ones left behind will see all the things prophesied about in Revelations. At which time, some will come to believe, and still others won't. This cycle will happen with each new plague/judgment. The all merciful God gives us the option all the way up to the end!

So at any point after the rapture, there will be believers on the face of the earth. This is seen when the judgment of the locust/scorpion-like insects are to not touch believers. (Read Rev 9. Pay close attention to verse 4)

I hope I helped in some small way. Revelations is a difficult book to read and understand. See if your church will give a class on Revelations. If not seek out a book about it, or a longtime believer who may have some incite. May I also suggest you read the OT book of Daniel? Great parallels there.

God bless,

The new Jerusalem only comes down after the mil brother Nigh This is where Christ rules this earth for 1000 years, we enter the mil...after the battle of armageddon, the lord spares some nations and they enter the mil with us... these are the nations we will rule with a rod of iron along side Christ, as appointed. Not all is understood here but most is. Then after the mil Satan is loosed to decieve who he can of these nations, then God destroys them by fire out of heaven. After this Christ delivers up the kingdom to God and eternity begins... with a new heaven and earth, plus a new Jerusalem.

1Co 15:24 Then [cometh] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
1Co 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
1Co 15:26 The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death.

In order of occurrence....

Below is the 1000 year reign and then the Gog Magog War...this is likely not just Russia, but all nations from the four quarters of the earth...

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom [is] as the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Heres the Great Judgement below....this earth/ heaven destroyed.

Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

New heaven new earth... and new Jerusalem, begin here below...Chapter 21

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Eternity begins....

God bless
