hello BecuzHeLives,
as far as ability goes, if they are in the hand of the father, they were in the hand of Jesus when he died for thoes the father gave him. And it is by the death of Christ, his cross, that we have salvation. Yes man is concieved in sin as David said, and we die because of Adam (in Adam all die). So the only way for an infant to be saved, is if Jesus died for them. The above post has a very important text; that exhortation of Christ in order to have weight at all, which it does, must imply that at least some such are in his hand. C. H. Spurgeon thought all such were in his hands: justifying his notion on the greatness of Christs salvation: more saved than lost = (few living be saved + all infants > most living be lost + 0 infants). I suspect Spurgeon might be right, but I can't be that positive. Abortion is evil, and I would not lessen the offenciveness of it(not knowing for sure is important here); at the same time, there is much in the scriptures that would comfort believing parrents in times of grivious loss. Spurgeon never lived to see evil days such as our's...God bless you as you continue to enquire into matters of his kingdom....DGB
