Work & Blessings

So for the past few months, I've been looking for a new job. I'm blessed with the job I have now but it's not challenging enough for me- I want to learn something new. So I've been on many job interviews lately and a few people hired me, but the pay wasn't up to par.

However, In October, there was one job in particular that I absolutely fell in love with. They brought me in for THREE interviews so I know they liked me. All of a sudden, they told me the position was no longer open because the girl in that position is not being promoted after all! OH NO!

Soooo the whole job hunt thing slowed down for me after that as I saw it was foolish to quit in December and lose out on my Christmas bonus.

WELL yesterday morning I brought up wanting a new job again to my husband. I said by 2008 I want a new job because I want to start my year right. GOD IS SO GOOD. That afternoon at 4 pm, I received an email from the employer from OCTOBER saying they are ready to open the poisition again! She wants me to come in on Wednesday to shadow the current employee and make sure I like it. That's a first!

This job is for a huge nationwide furniture company and they are about 20 mins from my house. The salary is $4K more annually than what I'm getting paid now. I'm so excited because all the women were so nice and welcoming!

So needless to say, I think I have it in the bag! I'm so excited!

I'm really happy for you sister. GOD works on His on timing, therefore we need to always be patient, not worry and not be discouraged. GOD can certainly surprise us sometimes!

I like the title to your thread 'Work and Blessings' trulyblessed.

It is good and would make a good title for a book.

But I am looking from the biblical viewpoint as I surf the threads.

I am convinced that as people get involved in whatever, Jobs, Activities, Outdoor Pursuits and the rest they will be blessed. Blessed because God made us in such a way that we enjoy such activity.

If there is financial reward, which every family has to have, so much better.

If such activity also includes fellowship with Jesus, and fellowship with Christian friends, we put ourselves in a position to recieve Gods Blessing, which is the highest blessing of all, in this life.

Isn't it just wonderful to know the Lord. To commune with Him and to Bless His Mighty Name.
