For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. 2 Timothy 1:12 NKJV

Paul had committed his eternal spirit and his earthly suffering to God, and the reason he could do so was because he trusted Him. Paul was convinced that God would guard what he'd entrusted to Him. Paul knew he could count on God to reward him for his sacrifices and suffering. He trusted God because he knew Him.

The Lord is completely dependable. The Bible assures you: "God is not a man, that He should lie---Has He said, and will he not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" (Numbers 23:19 NKJV), And Jesus promised, "In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you" (John 14:2 NKJV).

Like Paul, you believe in God and trust Him for good reason. Looking around, it often appears that worldly people are way ahead in the game of life and that you're losing out by playing a clean game and making sacrifices for others. But the reality is quite different. God is on your side, and when His kingdom has come, you'll be way, way out ahead.

Prayer: Lord, help me to trust You completely with my future, my dreams, my concerns, my sacrifices, and my suffering. I love You, Lord.

Trust is a wonderful thing but rarely comes immediately, we usually have to learn to trust, and if let down it sure is hard to rebuild trust.

But God will never let us down, but as you say brother, the Lord is completely dependable, God's Word confirms it over and over again, yet we are slow to trust in Him.

Trust needs Faith and Faith requires Love, God's Word is our Bond.

Romans 10:17 (NKJV)
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

1 John 1:5 (NKJV)
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

If we have Faith, we have Love, if we have love we have Hope, if we have all these we have Trust.

What a wonderful thing Trust is, why are we so slow to Trust.

Psalm 9:10 (NKJV)
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Dear brother we join you in prayer, in agreement,
Prayer: Lord, help me to trust You completely with my future, my dreams, my concerns, my sacrifices, and my suffering. I love You, Lord.
