so again, the sleep paralysis experiences i had were one-off events that happened the night after i overcame something in the spiritual realm and told whatever it was to stop harassing me and depart from my ex. this has happened less than half a dozen times in 3 years, most of the attacks were more mild harassment the following day.
with regard to my ex who taught me to sin as early as when i was 4 years old.. i was not entirely innocent and as a result just about every spirit i cast out of her.. did in fact harass me.
its been easier for me to find other people with similar problems than it has been for me to find anyone who can understand any of this stuff
anyhow if i do everything right then there is no harassment. in fact one time, a day after a former friend of mine and i cast 2 demons out of someone, i woke up the next day feeling like a million dollars.
There was a moment in my life where my folks had taken me and my older brother to an Ernest Angeley's Healing Crusade twice to get healing for our hard of hearing caused by nerve damage wherein I was deaf in my left ear and had tinnitus in my right ear constantly.
His routine then was to announce the coming of the Holy Spirit on already saved believers where they lose self control and fall backwards at his touching their foreheads to get the miracle like healing or casting out of devils, etc.
Having gone twice wherein the last time, I felt vibration in my left deaf ear even though I lost no self control when he touched my forehead to push me back for the catchers to catch me and lay me on the floor, but I kept feeling this vibration in in left ear on the way home, but no actual healing came as much as I was praying for it to happen.
The next day Monday, after school, I was unusually tired and so I took a nap. When I had awakened, there was a strange loud humming or buzzing type sound and I found I could not move. I prayed to the Lord for help, and found I could flip my right wrist. Then I did the other. Then I lifted my right forearm off of the bed, and then the other. Then I lifted right arm, mayhap my shoulder blade too, and then when I lifted the other, the weight seemed to roll off of me and I could move.
It was in the later years when confronted by the holy laughter phenomenon at my aunt's church several states away that the warning from Jesus about false prophets became clear to me that Ernest Angeley was one as that spirit behind the holy laughter movement was the same per
Mathew 7:13-27 KJV where the miracles by him were one that results in per a phenomenon when believers lose self control & falling and thus for not heeding His words that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the only way to God the Father and not by way of the Holy Spirit which is to expose that spirit that visits as not the real indwelling Holy Spirit when He has been dwelling in believers since salvation at the call of the gospel when we had first believed.
The solution to avoid those spirits is to narrow the way back to the straight gate or else run the risk of being left behind, serving a phenomenon which only glorifies itself per its visitations with signs and lying wonders.
Luke 13:24-30 KJV
So if you ever been in that environment where saved believers are invoking spirits to come, denying the Holy Spirit as in them since salvation or by hypocrisy, acknowledging Him as in them and yet receiving Him as if He is not, that may be the cause for your sleep paralysis.
Shun that mentality that you can receive the Holy Spirit again apart from salvation thus closing yourself off to being open to receiving any spirits by knowing Jesus Christ is in you is greater than those spirits in the world.
And if you got tongues that does not come with interpretation but assumed to be for private use by receiving the "Holy Spirit" apart from salvation or worse, looked for the receiving of the Holy Spirit by that sign of tongues as proof of salvation, then you need to go before that throne of grace and ask Jesus Christ to help you shun that tongue for private use and pray normally so you know what you had prayed for to give the Father thanks in Jesus's name for known answers to known prayers.

Isaiah 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?

2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
1 John 4:1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world....
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
I do not know if you have been in that environment or not where the church puts the focus on the Holy Spirit in worship or when a phenomenon visited that church or you when you were not seeking it for how you may have assumed that was the Holy Spirit when it was not, or you had picked up that mentality and hereby that false belief of continually receiving the Holy Spirit after salvation or just for that sign of tongues for private use, or for a healing like Ernest Angeley's Healing crusades, but that sleep paralysis is not of Him and God is allowing that to happen because of one of those lies or false belief that you may be harboring within yourself that you need His help to stop believing that lie so that strong delusion does not happen again.
2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first,....
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way....
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Below is Paul's correction by the scripture about the tradition taught of us in reproving he lie above in verses 9-12 that we ad received the sanctification of the Spirit & the belief of the truth at the calling of the gospel & no other time.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Paul goes on to address the "damned" by how the Lord commands us to withdraw from them that refuse to repent, but not to treat them as the enemy, but admonish them as brothers still as they are still saved

6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
But they are at risk of being left behind as excommunicated and thereby disqualified to attend the Marriage Supper above as
Titus 1:16; & 2 Timothy 2:11-13; & Luke 13:24-30; & 2 Timothy 2:18-21 KJV testifies. <---- click on link to see those references at Bible Gateway to see why and how those left behind are still saved, because that foundation is sure as that seal of adoption is also for why even former believers are called to depart from iniquity or else be cast & thus left behind for the coming great tribulation as this church was warned for committing spiritual fornication as they utter the depths of Satan for which they speak ( tongues for private use ) in verse 24 of
Revelation 2:18-25 KJV

I do not know if this be the cause of your sleep paralysis, but if it is, may He help you keep your eyes on the Son by praying normally and chase no more after "the Holy Spirit" when He is in you since salvation, because the Bridegroom will be coming soon for the abiding bride of Christ.
