Reader..

Inside you, is the real you.
Your body is not the real you... Your body is the container, that the real you......your SPIRIT......lives inside.
This Spirit, is eternal, and your body will die and be buried or cremated. Have you decided on which, reader?
Be thinking about what you want your people to do with your body, after you leave it.
And after you leave it, you will leave it having had your spirit born again, by God, or NOT.

You've read in the NT...>"new creation" "in Christ"....... Right?
That is not your body or your mind. That is your SPIRIT, that has been joined to God's Spirit........becoming "ONE WITH GOD"...."in Christ".
See that?
That is to be "born again".
Jesus told you........"you must be born again"..........and if you are, you go to heaven.
If you are never, ... if you are just water baptized, but never SPIRITUALLY BORN AGAIN, then you will die, water baptized, and go straight to HELL.
Thousands did today, and thousands will tomorrow.
They are sitting in hell right now, waiting for their White Throne Judgement, Revelation 20:11,...and they are all thinking, .."why am i here....i was water baptized... i was confirmed.... i took communion.... i spoke in tongues... i did my penance.... i adored Mary.. i gave to the poor....so why am i in HELL". !!! ??? !!!

Because Jesus said to all who are not BORN AGAIN......>""depart from me, i never knew you".

Jesus said...>"you must be born AGAIN"......and that not by water, but by my HOLY SPIRIT, saith God".

HE's not kidding you.

The division of spirit and body comes directly from Greek philosophy (Plato). In the first century this became Gnosticism.

It is not representative of the biblical worldview.

Your body is not born again.
Your Spirit is born again.

So, where is your spirit located?

This is not Greek philosophy........This is God, who is A Spirit, causing the Spirit in a human being to become "a new Creation".

Get your thinking together, then get your theology together, Hekuran.

1 Corinthians 15. Resurrection of the body is at the heart of Christian hope.

The born again get a new body.
The old one has turned into dust, in the grave.
That's in disagreement with the Bible text. The Bible teaches renewal of the body, not replacement.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44

So it is with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a physical body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.

The OP seems to be contradicting the title of this thread. He seems to be saying.. "you ARE the container". ( i.e. inside you is the real you )

It is the word also here....

καί
kai
kahee
Apparently a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so, then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words: - and, also, both, but, even, for, if, indeed, likewise, moreover, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yea, yet.
Total KJV occurrences: 9264

.. and, also, both, are the primary uses here.

There is a physical body... "and" there is "also" spiritual body. Not a renewal, a replacement.
Here are several translations.

1 Corinthians 15:44
(AMPC) It is sown a natural (physical) body; it is raised a supernatural (a spiritual) body. [As surely as] there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.
(ASV) it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
(BBE) It is planted a natural body; it comes again as a body of the spirit. If there is a natural body, there is equally a body of the spirit.
(CEV) As surely as there are physical bodies, there are spiritual bodies. And our physical bodies will be changed into spiritual bodies.
(CSB) sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
(ESV) It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
(GNB) When buried, it is a physical body; when raised, it will be a spiritual body. There is, of course, a physical body, so there has to be a spiritual body.

(GW) It is planted as a physical body. It comes back to life as a spiritual body. As there is a physical body, so there is also a spiritual body.
(HCSB) sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
(ISV) It is planted a physical body but is raised a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.
(KJV) It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
(LSV) it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body;
(MKJV) it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
(MSG) The seed sown is natural; the seed grown is supernatural—same seed, same body, but what a difference from when it goes down in physical mortality to when it is raised up in spiritual immortality!
(NAS77) it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
(NAS95) it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
(NET) it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
(NIrV) It is planted as an earthly body. But it is raised as a spiritual body. Just as there is an earthly body, there is also a spiritual body.
(NIV) it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
(NKJV) It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
(NLT) They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.
(RV) it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
(TPT) It is “sown” in weakness but will be raised in power. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.

There is no way this can be construed as "the same" body.

"Look at my hands, look at my feet and see that it is me".

@B-A-C Would you say Jesus' body after he rose from the dead was in no way the same body?

Paul says Jesus is the firstfruits of those who have died 1 Corinthians 15:20. So we'd expect our resurrection bodies to be the same nature as Jesus' body.

That's in disagreement with the Bible text. The Bible teaches renewal of the body, not replacement.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44

2nd Corinthians

For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal Body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.

@B-A-C Would you say Jesus' body after he rose from the dead was in no way the same body?

Absolutely. But, Jesus was resurrected in the flesh. No one else will be.

Gen 3:19; By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return."

Eccl 12:7; then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

Job 34:15; All flesh would perish together, And man would return to dust.

Also Jesus was not given a new body yet, at least not immediately.

John 20:17; Jesus *said to her, "Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.'"

Acts 13:34; "As for the fact that He raised Him up from the dead, no longer to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: 'I WILL GIVE YOU THE HOLY and SURE blessings OF DAVID.'
Acts 13:35; "Therefore He also says in another Psalm, 'YOU WILL NOT ALLOW YOUR HOLY ONE TO UNDERGO DECAY.'

It doesn't say no one decays. ( obviously millions have already ) it says Jesus wont decay.

1Cor 15:44; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

The natural is not the spiritual.

Absolutely. But, Jesus was resurrected in the flesh. No one else will be.

Our bodies will be like the Body of Jesus.
You just read the verse.
We , the born again, get a new body.
Why?
Because your dead one turned to dust in the grave.
You do realize that dead bodies rot, and go back to dirt?

also, the born again Spirit, has to have a new body, that is related to the born again Spirit.
They one you have is not going to work, as its DYING.
So, God gives us a new body..... an eternal body.......that will never die.
THis is how the NT describes "corruptible , will put on incorruptible "... this means, the old body is gone, the new body is come.

Astonished to see you write this @B-A-C. Check the scriptures carefully to see if this is true.

Checked:
1Cor 15:50; Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

Every major denomination I am familiar with believes this.

There is no evidence of Jesus's physical body left here on earth. Even though there are billions of people's body's still on the earth today even those who have been cremated in the resurrection there will be no trace leftover of any physical body as it has been changed.

Checked:
1Cor 15:50; Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

Every major denomination I am familiar with believes this.
Our corruptible flesh and blood, destined for decay and death cannot inherit the kingdom of God.

What's God's solution? Abandon the phyisical created order and give human spirits an alternate eternal existence?

No, God's plan is by resurrection to renew and restore us (and all creation). Our present bodies are raised and made imperishable.

1 Corinthians 15:50-55

What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is this: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I will tell you a mystery! We will not all die, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For this perishable body must put on imperishability, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When this perishable body puts on imperishability, and this mortal body puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will be fulfilled:

‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.’
‘Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?’

Try tracing Paul's argument step-by-step from the beginning of 1 Corinthians 15 to the end. Put what I've written to the test and see if matches up.

Or consider the way Jesus talks about resurrection as he raises Lazarus from the dead in John 11.

I find it very difficult to read this as though Jesus, Martha and Mary are talking about a merely spiritual afterlife existence.

@B-A-C I'll stop now, but can't resist Romans 8:23

Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

Our Christian hope is in the redemption of our bodies, not the disposal or abandoning of our bodies.

I'd be happy to take up any questions you have on this.
