Young, But Not Powerless.

The thing about being young and, what they say, undeveloped. Well, I believe that most people underestimate the youth population. As it says in 1 Timothy 4:12,"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, and in purity." That's why it's so important to encourage yourself and not to expect it from others all the time. We can't expect mammie and daddie to pick up the Christianity role for us so that we can have fun and do rebellious things. After a certain age, it's our own choice and decision. Heaven or hell, Satan or God. The word says, "That we can't drink the cup of God and the cup of demons at the same time." It is truly impossible!! God is a Jealousy God and he is nobody to play with. He says that he is a consuming fire and the last thing he needs is a lukewarm child. That means that you cannot compromise with your Christian walk. You must be strong and flee from youthful lust. Allow God to destroy those yokes in your life. Generational curses that are from years, decades, centuries, ancestry years ago. You must make the choice to stick it out with God and never give up on the destiny God has in store for you. If you know that you battle with lust, then you should not carry on with companions. It may lead or will lead to other thing besides purity. If you battle with drugs and alcohol, you may need to really call on the name of Jesus for deliverance. If you battle with pleasing people or wanting to fit in with the world, you really need to go to the Father so he may help you define your destiny. This is a time to challenge yourself and do the right thing. Don't let your age keep you from serving the Father and doing his will. You, as well as me, know that our days on this earth is numbered. You may want to play around and talk about God sometimes. Go to to church sometimes and find out that your time is up. What will you say? What will you do? When you have to stand before Jesus and make an account of your life. "Well, Lord, I tried be a GOOD PERSON, I fed the poor, sometimes. Read the bible, sometimes! Prayed every once in a while! But even Christ told Nicodemus, a very wealthy man, in John 3:3,"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Also, the word says that men love darkness rather than light. These are things to dwell on and to consider. Without God, there is no purpose. Without purpose, there it no life. Life without purpose is worse than death. Living for yourself is selfish and proudful. Suicide is not the answer either and your emotions cannot get the best of you and your live. This is a time to trust God and listen to his voice, SUPPOSE TO BE CHILD OF GOD, WHERE IS YOUR FAITH IN YOUR GOD. BE encouraged and know that you are loved, always put God first in your life. As long as you put God first you'll never go wrong. In Jesus Name. Amen

Amen ! I really enjoyed reading that! There is no such think is a smaleer version of the Holy Spirit I know that Children and teens can do as much if not more than adults can for the Glory of God ! God bless you and I hope to read more from you soon.

The easiest way to get respect as a teenager is to give your life in service to God. Well most of you know my past.. but as soon as I really gave it all I was asked to do some youth sermons to run a teen bible study and to testify infront of thousands. I have been asked to try and stat a youth at my school (a bunch of worldly sinners who persicute me for living the Holy life) and have started counciling and last night praise to God one of my friends an x-satanist and homosexual gave her life to God!!!! And in her testimony she sent to this program we were at she sent one thanking me and telling me how much she respected me. I have also started a praise and worship band and been asked to be in our main and amazing yoouth band at church! But this is still leat daily people come up to my family and I and tell us how much they respect me and how much they look up to me for the courage and the things I do at such a young age. Even the pastors have told my father (v.i.p in our church) that they wish their children would be as full out as I.

I don't mean to Praise myself ALL GLORY TO GOD FOR IT IS GOD WHO DOES IT THREW ME AND NOT ME. this is just a testimony that you don't have to be old to be used by God. Doon't deny His calling for you because if you are not gonna do it someone else will get it and then they will get the rewards and praise from Jesus in heaven! Do not be afriad. Be afraid for whomever suffers for God on earth will be glorified with Him in heaven. bE BOLD AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU OUT OF YOUR SOCKS TODAY.

Alicia, that's so great that God uses you in that way. Well about me, I came closer to God and now a lot of people just hate my guts. about respect, people do respect me, some of them anyway, but i guess it's not really that easy. God bless you girl.

I know exactly what you are talking about but, some teens and younger people feel ashamed and embarrased to talk about Jesus Christ in front of their friends but they will be sad when their friends are sent to hell at the rapture because they didnt testify. As it says in Roman 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of christ, for it is the power of god, unto salvation to everyone who believieth." We shouldnt be ashamed to tell people about God if it means that they get to spend enternity with the greatest person in the whole world. God wants us to testify and you should not let the devil hold you back. The devil wants to torture you in hell but it is so easy to get into heaven....just tell your friends. May God be with all of you.

i must say i agree with you on that one it is up to us teens to take stand and knwo what we are doign and i think i agree with you that peopel do underestimate the power that the Youth is startign to bring out but we will be noticed soon enough.

but the older people are SEMi rigth in the fact that we are not Developed and not as Mature as them for we still have MUCH to learn as young ones but we are still stong... over all an AWESOME POST i liked it...
