As much as I believe in the gospel, the bible and Jesus Christ as Lord, there are a lot of things I dont understand. Yes, I am going to ask difficult questions again, not to create misunderstandings, not to waver the faith of fellow brothers and sisters here, and certainly not blasphemy. I believe everyone should understand their faith or it will be meaningless believing just for the sake of believing. So if any fellow brothers and sisters can help with biblical support.. that will be most welcomed.

Why did God create man for?
a) Is it to glorify His name? If so, isnt He already full of everlasting glory? Why does God still need to create man for that purpose?

b) Since God already know that man is going to sin against Him as man are given a freedom of choice in out lives, why did he create man in the first place, when there is going to be so much sufferings and evilness especially in our generation today? If there are sufferings because we are punished for the sin adam and eve committed, why did God allow generations to come out after the two, and even after the days of the flood in Noah's time. We cant choose our ancestors or whether we want to come to this world at all, but we are implicated since the first man sinned against God. Why?

c) All the readings I have gone through tell me about the same thing- God created man for Himself. Which I agree wholeheartedly. But is that it? Why did God created man for Himself? Is it again not up to us to know while we are on earth?

God's work is amazing, as I have experienced myself, but I dont understand the above. Can anyone enlightened me, please?

The answer I have for the first question would be that God created us for His pleasure.
In heaven, we shall be giving glory to God.

As for the other questions, I'm not so sure of the answers, why God allowed generations to be born after the fall and Noah's time, I have never came across these areas before, I can't say it has bothered me but then we have all sorts of questions at sometime I guess, I'm sure there are many here can come along and give an answer.

Genesis 1:26-29 (AMPlified)
26 God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.
27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28 And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.
29 And God said, See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the land and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.

God allowed generations to come out after the two, and even after the days of the flood in Noah's time because He doesn't forgive 7 times but 70x7 as said in Matthew 18:21-22 (NIV)
21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" 22 Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

These are just my opinions from things i have looked at i hope they help a little.

First God created us because God is love and love is best when it is expressed.

the reason God did not stop other generations is because God is commited to all he created, when adam and eve sinned God could have started again but then it would seem as if we were not important, if my son makes a mistake i dont kill him and get another instead out of love i teach him what is right, i feel the same is true of God.

You ask great and common questions. Its important and necessary to ask questions and learn. Otherwise, how do you believe if you do not understand what it is you believe in?

Why did God create man for?

Good articles on this:

Why does God allow evil?
Why does God create people when He knows they are going to go to hell?

One New Testament citation that came to my mind when I saw this question is in 1 John 4: "Whoever does not love, does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed His love among us; He sent His one and only Son into the world that we migh live through Him (the Son)" (1 Jn 4:8b-9).

Because His love is boundless, God wanted to share it outside of the Trinity and He created man for that purpose. In glorifying Him, we draw ever closer to His love and are increasingly blessed as a result.

Dear Brother Subitobi

I think as humans we all struggle sometimes to understand suffering and sin. I am not very eloquent in writing these issues but these simple thoughts are how I understand things.

God made no mistakes. He didnt have to suddenly create a plan of salvation after man had sinned. Salvations great plan was already in place before He even created us.

(Jesus)..was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you (1 Peter 1:20)

The Lord is Sovereign and everything works in accordance with His divine will and plan. What is so hard to comprehend is the suffering the Lord went through to become part of His own creation in order to save fallen mankind...when He was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death

that through death He might destroy him that had the power of
death that is the devil. And deliver them who through fear of death
were all their lifetime subject to bondage (Heb 2:14-16)

The Lord Himself knows what it is like to suffer. mankind doesnt go through anything that He hasnt already endured for us. Look at Isaiah 53

He is despised..rejected of men...a man of sorrows..acquainted
with grief. .He was wounded foor our transgressions. He was
bruised for our iniquities....He was oppressed...He was afflicted......

So the way I understand it is His plan was always in place for us from the very beginning even before creation. It's our choice to accept or reject Him. Mankind chooses darkness rather than light hence continued suffering.

Sin causes suffering but He enables us to use it to draw us closer to HIm

But rejoice inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings;that
when His glory shall be revealed ye may be glad also with
exceeding joy (1 Peter 4:13)

But the God of all Grace who hath called us unto His eternal glory
by Christ Jesus after that ye have suffered a while, make you
perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (1 Peter 5:10)

So dear brother Subitobi... If we suffer for Him it is for His glory. For the suffering world we must just continue to pray that lost souls find Christ. I dont comprehend the magnitude of it all..but I trust His divine plan.

God bless you
Julia

Greetings,

Let us call God our Father, Abba .... Father.

I have had a few children.... why? I didn't have to look very far afield to see that they might get hurt, or they might do wrong or have wrong done to them.. or even maybe get sick... but, for some reason, I still had them. Why?

Now, of course I would have liked them to be perfect.... I mean who doesn't want perfect children (in the sense of never doing anything naughty or equating to sin or transgression)? So why did I decide to have children?

Of course there was alway a possibility that some might reject my love and care. So, why did I have them?

Now, as I said, I have a few children.... and guess what? I love them, every day of their life, and all I want for them in this world is to be safe, happy, fed, sheltered ... and find and hold onto love.... to be able to do unto others as much love as they can , just as they would like unto them... and I could go on and on in that respect...
As a Christian, of course I want them to have the joy of the Lord... and I also want them to share in MY joy... the joy they give to me... just being my children who I love.

SO, why did I have them?

We were made in our Father's image.... so being a father to children is an example of who our Father in Heaven is.... and to get the complete picture of our Father, we need to look at Jesus...

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
John 14:9-11

Bless you ....><>
