My name means "grace" or "full of grace", which actually kinda makes me chuckle, because I definitely don't consider myself "full of grace".

I called my puppy "Sadie", and her name in Hebrew means "Princess".

I see from the posts that some people have drifted away from the original topic. I am sorry about that. However, let me also jam in with those folks. So this is my part of the story.
I have two sons. The elder's name is ASAHEL and the younger who is a year old now is ABISHAI.
Abishai was born just two days before my birthday. I hate celebrating birthdays and thus had not told my church about it. When Abishai was born, one of our church members came to visit us and seeing him she said "Levi, this is really a gift of God for you" (not knowing my birthday was just two days ahead). I had not thought of a name for him yet. I just went to internet and was thinking of the name 'Abishai' (as he was the brother of Asahel in the Bible) and googled for the meaning and you know what I found for the meaning?: GIFT OF GOD.
Needless to say, how exhilarated I was.
Praise God for the wonderful gift he has given and as for Asahel, he is indeed a "creation of God". I praise God for my two sons.

my name is Barbara in greek and latin it means - foriegn or strange.

I am from Ireland and i moved to England 9 years ago on the Lords word, i have moved to 2 churches while here and God used me in them as He saw fit to. I moved as led by Him to our church we attend now, which unbeknown, the fellowship had broken and a few only remained urged by God to keep the doors open. one of the elders was given a scripture as a vision, Isaiah 61 : 1-6 which told them that the old churches will be reseracted. South Africans came to the church 3 years ago and they thought that they were the strangers spoke of in verse 5. They realised it was there mistake and one day after starting the church we all were having fellowship and we were discussing me running a bible study and i had been spoken to by the Lord to do this. Then one of the Leaders said verse 5 yes he said and strangers will feed your flock. you are that stranger, i said well it could be cause my name means strange or foriegn. Praise the Lord i am feeding the flock. Praise the Lord amen
