Her grandpa is dying...probably has about three days. Please keep them all in prayer!

I was wondering why I wasn't feeling anything yet, but today I cried because he is hallucinating. I can't see him like that. ;(

God has a purpose for all of us. We may not realize it until it’s too late but for some it comes quick. Finding the strength to answer that call is another story. I’m sure you are aware that God has a perfect timing. Never too late and never too early, just right. I was in your situation years back. Death is somehow not something people take too well. Surprising really…Maybe I’m the only one surprised but to me death is something to celebrate. I would imagine for someone who has lived a Godly life…death is something to look forward to. And I’m sure those who pass away feel more pity for us living then they do for themselves. Think about it this way: God has a purpose and no matter what you can’t escape it. Those who have done their part will pass on and those who haven’t will remain until there time is done and they have done what they were sent to do. It might seem small but we all have a purpose. Maybe your grandfather has done his part. Believe me where his going…he will be better off than staying here. Death isn’t something to fear. It’s something look forward to. I have faith and that faith tells me there is more to life than being here. Don’t think of it as goodbye. Just think of it as time away. You will meet again. Praying that your grandfather has a safe journey back to where he belongs.

That reminds me. When my grandfather passed away I wasn’t anywhere in sight I was overseas and wasn’t told he was even sick. All I heard was he had passed away. It has been about 4-5 years and I have never shed a tear for his death. Even when I went back to his grave I didn’t cry. But let me tell you something, it’s not hate or a heartless thing. I was the closest person to my grandfather and he loved me like a father would love his own child (and I know he still does and will always) but there was and there still is a part of me that just knows that he is in a better place and he deserves to rest in peace. I used to ask myself why I couldn’t cry. Simple. I couldn’t cry because there was no reason to cry. I wasn’t losing someone I love. I was sending someone I love to a place they’ve preparing to go to all their lives. Seeing where he used to live and having everything look different does leave an ache in my heart but that is okay.
 
Thank you for the prayers everyone, right now I am getting legal matters situated since he passed Saturday. It is a busy time right now.
 
I am saddened by your loss. I pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort you in this time of mourning and give you strength in the coming days.
