The difficulties of having a family in this world as it continues to spiral downwards, is that we fear for their well being. Unless it's the Good News (Gospel), awareness of what's going on in the world in general can truly be a bummer. You are right that standing for truth, is much needed in these days. We do need many more watchers to clarion the call!

Be comforted in the knowledge that God will take care of His own!

Since you rededicated yourself, wouldn't it be better phrased "went off to college and took advantage of the chains available to bind myself. Then came to the realization that I had shackled myself and that I was already free............ (John 8:36)
