Deuteronomy 31: 8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
God doesn't leave us. We leave Him.
Isa 63:8; For He said, “Surely, they are My people, Sons who will not deal falsely.”
So He became their Savior.
Isa 63:9; In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the angel of His presence saved them;
In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them, And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.
Isa 63:10; But they rebelled And grieved His Holy Spirit;
Therefore He turned Himself to become their enemy, He fought against them.
They were His people, He was their savior (verse 8).
But they rebelled. ( verse 10) God didn't rebell. He didn't desert them.
They rebelled against Him. They grieved His Holy Spirit.
He may not have left them, but He became their enemy and fought against them.
I say God accepts me despite my inequities
He does up to a point. You can't just sit back and say God takes care of it all for me.
You can't continue to sin. I'm not saying yo do this. But there are some that do.
God does not accept those who willfully continue to sin. ( Heb 10:26; )
1 Jn 3:8; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
1 Jn 3:9; No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1 Jn 3:10; By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.
Isa 59:2; But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God,
And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.
God accepts us as we are. But He doesn't just keep on accepting us forever if we never repent and keep practicing sin.
