Unless we become as "little children" we shall not even see the kingdom of God.

Little children trust and depend on someone bigger than them to do it for them. Even to tie their shoe. How can one be a "little child" of God and continue to depend and trust in themselves and their own intellect of worldly knowledge? Well, the ones that do that is carnal and worldly.

The Spirit grieves for you, brother. REPENT, and be cleansed by the Holy Spirit; in the name of Jesus.

Spirit confess, did Jesus Christ come in the flesh???

Post # 18 ''According to Paul we are able to use our intellect alone to escape judgment. No need of the Holy Spirit''

The context (if you read my posts) is that our self judgment, if favorable to God (IE we decide to hate what is evil and cling to what is good Rom 12:9), causes God to draw near to us / judge us James 4:8, Jer 17:10 and then reveal Jesus to us by the Holy Spirit 1 Cor 12:3 which leads to us becoming a new creation 2 Cor 5:17, which leads to us entering eternal life / receiving God / the Holy Spirit. So, no. There is no need for the Holy Spirit to come to God. Only a working brain.

More persistence and rigidity. Apart from the Holy Spirit, we can do NOTHING.

John 15:5
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

Go tell your husband he will not get food tonight unless he can truly imagine it. Let me know the outcome.

This is the typical kind of response of those who do not grasp the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. There's nobody home.

Pro 3:5 Confide in Jehovah with all thy heart, and lean not unto thine own intelligence; (Darby)

1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. (KJV)

The Holy Spirit assists / increases our human intellect / ability to discern. This makes Christians more accountable for their actions. Every person will only be held to account for what they knew. According to the light they have received.

Every belief of mine can be substantiated with much scripture. It has survived scrutiny from Christians and atheists. I have been corrected on matters many times and still do get corrected. I like to think I live in fear of disobeying God and scripture / am constantly open to correction. This is how we are to arrive at our beliefs. Not ''the Holy Spirit told me, it must be right''.

According to Paul we are able to use our intellect alone to escape judgment. No need of the Holy Spirit.

1 Cor 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

Now please try understand I am not espousing ''too heavenly minded, no earthly good''. It is only when we arrive at disagreements in belief.

You can't believe the Holy Spirit only talks to you and not those who disagree with you. Scripture says we must work out our salvation in fear and trembling Phil 2:12. It says, avoid all appearance of evil.

I don't want to get into your beliefs here, but can you honestly say you pass the above tests when applying them to them? Have fully considered all the arguments from scripture against your beliefs?

How about, "So earthly minded that one is no heavenly good"?

My beliefs are from scripture and agree with God, so pitting my beliefs against scripture is pointless.

That you misappropriate what Paul says and turn it around to please your own sensibilities and your too high regard for the intellect (the flesh) is just atrocious. However, it does encourage me in my understanding about the ongoing disagreement with nearly everything you say and have said for many months. I've got your number and understand the bottom line, here. You value the carnal, the flesh, over the Spirit of God.

Are you smoking something?

@KingJ lol. I am busy building a Countach for myself. Then my father and two brothers to follow (hopefully). Your words again on your status.

LOL; how is contact coming for you; keeping your mind twisted and unruly? be sober minded...
Go report to your (f)ather and tell him your mission failed.

All praise, glory and honor be unto God. Amen
The all seeing, all hearing, all knowing God. Amen
Only because we are in Him, by Him, for Him do we recognize the spirits that speak.
Praise God for the HOLY GHOST!!! Amen

The devil knows the Word too, brothers and sisters. But the devil will not confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh.
We can not overcome evil with evil; do not get into fleshly confrontations with the spirit, stick to the Word of God. Amen

How exactly do you think you come to Christ in the first place to be sealed in Him?
Does not God look to our hearts rather than to our intellect? You are thinking that without a brain, a person could not choose anything. In that sense you may be correct, but the lowest of animals make decisions, whether they really think about them and reason them out or not. They make the decision to eat what God has provided for them. Why is it that only men can go astray from God? Is it not because they can choose to follow their own minds rather than what God has placed [not in their brains but ] in their hearts?

We are to use our brains and we are to use our bodies, but for the uses to which we put them to be pleasing to God, we must be led by Him. This is why the Holy Ghost has been provided. Without the Holy Ghost, a person with a high IQ is still dead and will remain so.

There are "Head" Christians and their are "Heart" Christians. God doesn't care what is in your head, even Satan and the devils have it in their head who God and Jesus are but, what God is looking for, is to see his Son in your heart. At your end, at your "Armageddon "all God looks for is the Heart Christian.

From out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Yes, if thine eye (our heart) be single, they whole body is full of light. Amen

I don't know who has the Spirit here and who doesn't. But looking at the passage below, I think
I see a lot of enmity, strife, disputes, dissensions, and maybe even an outburst of anger on this thread.

Gal 5:19; Now the fruit of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,
Gal 5:20; idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,
Gal 5:21; envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Gal 5:22; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23; gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

I'm not seeing a whole lot of joy, peace, self-control and kindness here.

We may need the Holy Spirit to help us with certain passages in the Bible, but one thing is for sure,
the Spirit will never.... NEVER... contradict scripture.

Well, can you see our hearts? I am free of strife because of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit who oils my emotions with His patience and His steadfastness when addressing people who come at us with a spirit of variance.

Can you address and keep to the topic? Not everyone is in need of correction, here.

Locking this thread for a time because it is starting to be counter productive to any growth in His Word.

When our communication starts to move away from the topic at hand to a direction where we start denigrating one another in making ones point. I do believe a "time out" is necessary.

Once again an invitation to read 1 Corinthians 13 might be something to consider prior to putting words to postings. There are many ways to communicate correction, but it requires prayer. Along with the purpose of doing so with love so that it benefits both the receive and sender in the correspondence.
