What Is Faith?

That is not basic Christianity. Are you being serious?

I don't have to tell my kid I just gave my life for that I care about them and the condition of their broken leg.

I do have to let my kid tell the neighbors kid though.

If my kid needs to hold to promises specifically to do with healing, I would wonder daily if he was my kid.

How are you going to know if God wants you healed, if you don't know what he has said? Maybe God wants you to be sick! How would you know anything about God or his will if you don't know his Word?

Are you really saying you don't understand this scripture? How about this translation....

Rom 10:13 For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved. [Joe_2:32]
Rom 10:14 But how are people to call upon Him Whom they have not believed [in Whom they have no faith, on Whom they have no reliance]? And how are they to believe in Him [adhere to, trust in, and rely upon Him] of Whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher? (AMP)
Can our belief save us James 2:24? Do all who call on the name of the Lord get saved Matt 7:21?

You are missing very important context to this passage. Those scriptures are true, but need context. When isolated as you have done, you are making them say something they don't. The reality of this becomes painfully obvious when you read Matt 16:16-17 (God revealed Jesus to Peter) and try answer the question of: Can our belief alone, save us? Or .....did Jesus have to die on the cross and give us a free gift of salvation? Which raises the next question, as to whom this free gift is given. Is it then given to the person who simply believes? I think not. Belief is however evidence of having the gift of salvation. Hence, you literally have the cart before the horse.

Curtis, you are not reading my replies.

If I was in the army with you. Took a bullet for you. Would you later wonder if I would be ok with sharing my ham sandwich with you? Yes or no?

Scripture? I want to know these magical scriptures we need to know for healing. These scriptures that cause God of the universe to jump when we say jump.
God is the Word, I would not want to tell God his Word is "magical". The Word is alive, and powerful, not magical. There are many many scriptures that deal with healing. Way more than I could ever post here.

1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Psa 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Psa 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

You could not possibly know me unless you knew what "Words" I have spoken to you in the past.

Works alone means nothing, even believing alone means nothing. No one gets saved and then believes afterward. Salvation is based on knowing what scripture says, and then confessing that scripture so faith comes to believe in what it says. Faith is a "work". Believing is the "work" of God as Jesus said here.............

John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Can our belief alone, save us? Or .....did Jesus have to die on the cross and give us a free gift of salvation?

Belief ( have faith) in what? People don't just have belief (have faith), they have to believe (have faith) in something. Where does that faith come from? It comes from God who is the Word from where faith comes from. You can bet your life when someone makes the decision to believe the Word of God over and beyond what there logical carnal mind is telling them, that took a lot work, and only the Word of God can accomplish that work.
