Please pray that my mother will stop gambling?

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you that we can approach your throne of grace, to ask for help in time of need, and that your ears are always open to our cry.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray for this young lady and her Mother, that they will be delivered from the bondage of this addictive occupation, which can bring such financial loss, and destruction in it's wake. I pray that they will be able to find help to overcome this from those who have been in the same situation themselves, who can give support and encouragement to them. Yet, they need to see that they need help in order to seek it: so I pray that You will open their eyes to see that they are at risk of becoming seriously addicted, and could suffer great loss as a result,
Lord, you know their hearts, and you know their circumstances, and only you can bring this to pass. I thank you for this young lady, and her anxiety for her Mother and family members. Please encourage her and strengthen her and help her to be able to stand her ground and refuse to engage in this activity herself, or to seek help to do so, that they may have a role model to follow.
May she be able to rejoice in You, and to trust you to keep her in all circumstances, That your will for her may be fully done, for Your Name and Glory's sake.

The very fact that you are seeking help, is an indication that God is working in you. Just give Him thanks, 'Godsangel', for you are His workmanship. These are deceitful lusts which war against the soul (or the whole person), they persuade you that you must do, must have etc., but there is no truth in them, they are deceitful, and have no substance except in your own mind. However, they can be strong and addictive, as in the case of alcoholism and gambling.
These lusts come from the our flesh (James 1:13-14), from the old man that we were born with.
'Dearly beloved,
I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims,
abstain from fleshly lusts,
which war against the soul; ... '
(1Peter 2:11)

The first step in trying to end any sin, is to admit it is sin, and to want to stop, if only a little. I pray that God would convict you all in some way that would wake you up to it.
Pray for me and my husband, God saves restore and refresh our marriage. I pray that GOD will bless us with a new affordable home in a great neighborhood and to continue to open doors for us and all of his people across the nations.
