repentance is the very start and core of the gospel of salvation - without repentance there is no relationship with God the Father through Jesus God the Son.

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt BELIEVE in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10For with the heart man BELIEVETH unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11For the scripture saith, Whosoever BELIEVETH on him shall not be ashamed

Salvation today doesn't come from repenting of sins . 1 cor 1.21 . Eph 1.13 -14 .

If you believe in and understand God ( just a little) you know you are prophane and He is Holy.

He has no sin..and you realize that you are sinful by nature and therefore not Holy.

Understanding your sinful and regretting it is the essence of repentance and, without it, there is no salvation!

@Free gift , Jesus may very well be your personal Savior but you have a lot to learn!

I am confident that the Holy Spirit will teach you in time , but that is His timetable not ours.

If you think less of sin and your repentance, you may be in jeopardy but, that is not my decision...that belongs solely to God.

I encourage you to study sin the Bible, just simply Google that and I think God's idea of sin will be revealed.

What I am about to say is not found directly in the Bible but it is from an overall understanding of what the Bible projects:
Sin us anything He is not...think about that for a moment ...He is absolutely perfect and without sin...we are not!
