The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

Christs death produces saving results in that by it the Children of God/Sheep/Church is gathered unto God Jn 11:50-52

50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

52 And not for that nation only, but that[in order that] also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

Clearly the purpose of His dying for that nation [jews] but not them only[gentiles] was for the gathering of them together to form them into One People unto God. This is also expressed earlier in John here Jn 10:16

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

The word bring here serves the same purpose as the word gather in Jn 11:52.

The word gather means συνάγω:

to lead together, bring together, come together (pass.), entertain
Usage: I gather together, collect, assemble, receive with hospitality, entertain.

to join together, join in one (those previously separated):

This speaks to the jews and gentiles being once separated, now being brought together by the death of Christ Eph 2:11-19

11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

This gathering was prophesied in the OT here Gen 49:9-10

9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?

10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Christ is Shiloh. This is probably what Caiaphas the high priest was moved to utter about Jn 11:49ff

The word for gathering in Gen 49:10 is the word yᵊqāhâ:

obedience, cleansing, purging,; obedience:—gathering, to obey.

The Death of Christ was designed to bring together the people of God from among all nations to the obedience of the Faith, under One Head.

It is a heresy and false teaching if Christ's death alone does not guarantee a saving result for them He died for ! This applies to those who also teach that Christ died in some non redemptive way for the non elect ! That is, God had subordinate purposes to redemption, which Christs death did not ensure a saving, converting result !91

The positive effect of Christ dying, giving of Himself, or offering of Himself for those He did for, is actual absolute redemption from all iniquity Titus 2:14

14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

The word that, the conjunction hina which means:

in order that, so that, in order that (denoting the purpose or the result

So His giving of Himself produces redemptive results, which God purposed, one such result was redeem them from all iniquity, that's Salvation right there !

This was promised in the OT
Ps 130:8

And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities. The Israel here is not physical national israel, its Spiritual Israel the Church as seen in Titus 2:14

In other words the promise of Ps 130:8 found its fulfillment in Christ and the Church, and so its a sure result of Christ redeeming death !

The title of this thread... "...results of the death of Christ".

It wasn't really Jesus's death that saved us. If Jesus would have just died... that's it, end of story.
But no, He is risen. He is resurrected. He conquered the grave and death.
We aren't saved by simply believing that Jesus died. We are saved by believing He is risen.
Unless He rose again, His death had no meaning.

1Cor 15:13; But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised;
1Cor 15:14; and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.
1Cor 15:15; Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.
1Cor 15:16; For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised;
1Cor 15:17; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.

It wasn't really Jesus's death that saved us.

Blasphemy ! 1 Pet 2:24

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

The harvest of Christ's Death. Peace, the outcome of the cross. We believe that the Savior's finished work has rendered our[Gods Elect] damnation impossible, and our salvation certain,

The Scriptures declare of the objective and outcome of Christ’s death, in the most outright and positive terms: "When enemies, we were reconciled to God, by the death of his Son, and shall much more be saved by his life," Romans 5:10. "He died for us, that we should live together with him," 1 Thess. 5: 10. "God hath appointed us to obtain salvation by Jesus Christ,"

His death effects that we shall be saved by His Life [conversion] and that we shall live together with Him and obtain Salvation.

If we dont believe this, we certainly sell the effects of His death short, to our shame !

Three things result from the death of Christ, for all whom He died, which if they dont occur in our life, its obvious Christ didnt die for us.

#1 We are reconciled to God Rom 5:10

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

#2 We were spiritually healed Isa 53:5

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. CP 1 Pet 2:24

#3 We have peace with God
Isa 53:5

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Col 1:20

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 155

Christ’s death obtained redemption Heb 9:12, if it purges the conscience Heb 9:14, and secures the eternal inheritance Heb 9:15, then there is a exact conjoining between Christ’s sufferings and his saving results; but the aforementioned is true, and therefore so is the last-mentioned.

Heb 9:12,14,15

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Hello,

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him (Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Obviously one has to die in order to be resurrected from the dead. His death was a sacrifice for ALL.
Rom 5:18 For as by the offense of one (Adam) judgement came upon ALL men unto condemnation, even so by the righteousness of one (Jesus) the FREE GIFT came upon ALL men unto
justification of life.
It ain't FREE if you have to do something to EARN it. However, you must be called in order to SEE the GIFT. God chooses when each will be called. He worketh ALL THINGS according to
the counsel of His OWN WILL. Eph 1:11
1 Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21- For since by MAN came death, by MAN came also the resurrection of the dead.
22-For as in Adam ALL die, even so in Christ shall ALL BE MADE ALIVE. 23-But EVERY MAN IN HIS OWN ORDER................ Who knows the order? Only the Father.

God is the one who condemned ALL even though they did not do what Adam did. Even so, he provided Jesus as a sacrifice for his own perfecting, and for our forgiveness of sin which was applied
to the same ALL. Gods decree in both cases. Romans 5:14
The timing of the calling is the part most miss because he hasn't shown them the "TIMES". This is part of the HIDDEN MANNA spoken of in Rev 2:14-17. God will eventually CALL ALL mankind,
as he intends to RECONCILE ALL THINGS, hard to do that unless ALL men are reconciled.

Does anyone really believe that God would allow you to not be reconciled because YOU OVERTURNED HIS JUDGEMENT?? He does everything without our consent because he knows best.
Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

1Ti 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of ALL MEN, specially of those that believe.
Hard to be called the Saviour of ALL men unless you actually save ALL men. Refer to Romans 5:18 above.

Eph 1:10-12 That in the dispensation of the fullness of "TIMES" he might gather together in one ALL things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance BEING PREDESTINATED according to the purpose of Him who worketh ALL things after the counsel of His own will. That we should be to the praise of his glory who first trusted in Christ. These would be the first fruits unto God AND the lamb.

With any crop there are first fruits then there is a general harvest. We whom are the chosen now during this last 2000 or so yrs (1st dispensation) are that first fruits harvest, but the general harvest comes later, after the thousand yr reign. We are living during the New Covenant era which is the first "TIME" under the New Covenant. As the verse, Eph 1:10, suggests there are at least 2.

Who by him (Jesus) do believe in God, that raised him (Jesus) up from the dead, and GAVE HIM (Jesus) GLORY; that your faith and hope might be in God.

The saving results of the death of Christ Jesus are immeasurable. But, without Gods intent to have children, nothing would even exist, for it was all created to bring about sons unto the Father.

Yes,

Like I said one has to die to be resurrected.
The death of the Lord brought his own perfecting to an end and bought us (freed from penalty of sins).
But it would seem you only want to mention his death.
When in fact it was Gods resurrection of him that gives us hope of the same.
Both his death and resurrection are necessary components of our salvation. For if he did not die then he was not resurrected.
Romans 10:9 has always been a statement of faith in the power of God. He resurrected his only begotten Son whom did not deserve to die, but laid down his life to purchase ours back.

Please explain it then.

Those Christ died for, He redeemed them, and purchased their release from the domino of the law and satan and secured upon them the Spirit of Adoption Gal 4:4-6

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Christ was sent into the world to be birthed of a woman, in order to keep the law, even unto death, which death redeemed them He died for [sons]

The word redeem exagorazō:
  1. to redeem
    1. by payment of a price to recover from the power of another, to ransom, buy off
    2. metaph. of Christ freeing the elect from the dominion of the Mosaic Law at the price of his vicarious death
  2. to buy up, to buy up for one's self, for one's use

See those whom Christ died for are under the dominion and power of satan Acts 26:18

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Col 1:13

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

The power of darkness here is the same as the power of satan !

Now Christs redemptive work redeems, rescues, frees those He died for from satans dominion which includes unbelief, since satan is instrumental in men being in unbelief by blinding their minds 2 Cor 4:4

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

and being rescued, delivered they receive the Adoption of Sons, which is the Spirit.157

Christ dying for them evidenced them being sons, and causing them to receive the Sprit into their hearts.

Fulfilling the promise Ezk 36:27

27 And I will put my spirit[of adoption] within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

When Christ died, it was to save His People from their sins Matt 1:21, hence inclusive in His Death was all that was necessary to secure the intended saving effects of His death. Nothing was left up to man to do in order for His Saving Death would be fruitful, He is Saviour alone ! Rom 8:32

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

What do you see when you compare Romans 8:32 to Romans 5:18

How about 1 John 2:2 "And he (Jesus) is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD."

What do you see in my post you quoted ? Thats what I want to discuss.

I see that He died for ALL as your post references this in 2 different verses mentioned. Romans 5:18 says the same thing, and so does 1 John 2:2.
So if he died for ALL how is it that we still hold a doctrine of eternal damnation? Or is this spiritual language that is misunderstood?
And to add to this, is it even possible that God took the sin of Adam to be more powerful than the willing surrender of His Son to the death of the cross in that any would not, could not,
or should not eventually be saved? As He took upon Him the sin of the entire world, from the very first sin to the last.
How therefore, is anyone responsible for their own salvation as He secured that for the same ALL that had been condemned by God. "As He hath concluded them ALL in unbelief, that He might
have mercy upon ALL." Romans 11:32

To answer your question, I see salvation of ALL men from Adam to whoever is last to be saved. As His death paid the price for ALL as no man can add to what he did for we have no
righteousness of our own, and self righteousness is unacceptable in Gods sight.

To quote scripture to support the first statement:
1 Co 15:21 "For since by man came death, by man also came the resurrection of the dead." These both are decrees of God as He set the parameters for the actions of both outcomes.
sin unto death, and righteousness unto life for ALL men period. Though only 2 men were involved in the judgements that were decreed upon ALL men by the Father.
22-"For as in Adam ALL die, even so in Christ shall ALL be made alive."
23- "But EVERY MAN IN HIS OWN ORDER..................

This is the truth that sets one free. When Jesus proclaimed "it is finished" it was and is for He secured salvation for ALL men just as Adam had secured death for ALL men.
Both actions were by the design of the Father, for if the first decree had not been made there would have been no need for the second. But since Jesus was foreordained the first
had to be made. Adam had to fail. So Jesus could succeed.
