The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

I see that He died for ALL as your post references this in 2 different verses mentioned. Romans 5:18 says the same thing, and so does 1 John 2:2.
So if he died for ALL how is it that we still hold a doctrine of eternal damnation? Or is this spiritual language that is misunderstood?
And to add to this, is it even possible that God took the sin of Adam to be more powerful than the willing surrender of His Son to the death of the cross in that any would not, could not,
or should not eventually be saved? As He took upon Him the sin of the entire world, from the very first sin to the last.
How therefore, is anyone responsible for their own salvation as He secured that for the same ALL that had been condemned by God. "As He hath concluded them ALL in unbelief, that He might
have mercy upon ALL." Romans 11:32

To answer your question, I see salvation of ALL men from Adam to whoever is last to be saved. As His death paid the price for ALL as no man can add to what he did for we have no
righteousness of our own, and self righteousness is unacceptable in Gods sight.

To quote scripture to support the first statement:
1 Co 15:21 "For since by man came death, by man also came the resurrection of the dead." These both are decrees of God as He set the parameters for the actions of both outcomes.
sin unto death, and righteousness unto life for ALL men period. Though only 2 men were involved in the judgements that were decreed upon ALL men by the Father.
22-"For as in Adam ALL die, even so in Christ shall ALL be made alive."
23- "But EVERY MAN IN HIS OWN ORDER..................

This is the truth that sets one free. When Jesus proclaimed "it is finished" it was and is for He secured salvation for ALL men just as Adam had secured death for ALL men.
Both actions were by the design of the Father, for if the first decree had not been made there would have been no need for the second. But since Jesus was foreordained the first
had to be made. Adam had to fail. So Jesus could succeed.
You dont see what I posted.

Another one of the saving results of the death of Christ is in order that, those He died for will receive the adoption of Sons, which requires sending the Spirit into their hearts Gal 4:4-6160

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

All for whom Christ died, He redeemed Gal 3:13 and each one of them will in Gods good time , will be given the Spirit into their hearts confirming, validating their adoption of Sons. They will know God as their Father !

1 Tim 2:6 "Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."

But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: but unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; but glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: for there is no respect of persons with God.
Romans 2:5-11

The Death of Christ alone saved them he died for,

Christ's death on the Cross is offered to the world. John 3:16.

Notice also....>"if I be lifted up, i will draw ALL MEN to me'. John 12:32

Now, does that mean that all will believe? It does not, But it does mean that God so loved the WORLD that He gave His Son, vs the false teaching that God so loved only the elect.

Christs death saved the world He died for. That would be the world of the elect, His Sheep. If you teach that Christ died for folk that are forever lost, you deprive Christs death of its saving efficacy, Do you want to be in that number ?

Greetings modern folk,

Back in the day ....
The Gospel preached resurrection including Grace and Faith but centering on The Son of God.... not any old god and no less, any old son.
So, we read something [originally scribed in Greek, that opened up and unfolded what had been written in Hebrew and Chaldean] that gave account of and record to that Message, in an era where debate and division about not only an afterlife but also how, who, why and when life and death could be /couldn't be attained....
and in that testament /account they learnt and heard of That Son of That God Who promised Life, to all who would BELIEVE IN His Son and were given not only the full assurance of not dying forever but also the tender mercies of forgiveness of sins, sealed with and by the death and resurrection of His Son whereby He gave His Word, Which they could either believe and trust or reject, which given the era of violent opposition to the heralding of the Messiah Christ and the almost certain cost of their own lives through persecution, although many would at first at least assent to but then draw back being deceived and following the lust of the flesh, and although the Redemption was paid in full, not many were prepared to redeem the offer of such love.

Today, many prefer to ignore and reject the Salvation through Christ that God has provided and many others are willing to gamble with sin, some even putting their money on a hope that eventually they will still be saved from eternally perishing instead of going to the throne of Grace to redeem their gift before they die.
God is NOT willing that ANY should perish but that all WOULD come and enter His Rest.

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ guarantees Salvation to all who do not reject the Son.

Yet man has made loopholes to cover their folly but many will fall into those very holes as they draw their last breath.

The sad truth is that ALL will realize that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.... at Judgement... and they will confess their rejection of life.... and will perish.

Tremble Tremble Tremble

Do not refuse
Do not delay
Make peace with God
While it is still today

Refuse and reject any and all temptation to gamble your life away!

Refuse all who would entice you and deceive you that you can get into the sheepfold other than by Jesus Christ ... Who also will judge all men on their acknowledgement or rejection of His Father's Love... and His terms and conditions.... not ours.

Christs death saved the world He died for. That would be the world of the elect, His Sheep.

All who hear the word of God, and "faith comes by hearing"............... and they BELIEVE. These are the Elect......in the "time of the Gentiles".

Faith Elects.
God saves

Hearing comes from regeneration, only the elect Sheep will be given to hear their Shepherds voice Jn 10:16

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they[the Sheep/Elect] shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Its the Sheep/elect who believe because Jesus died for them Jn 10:26-27

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And Faith doesnt elect, thats a false statement, but God elects and saves , Faith is the result !

Christs saving death will result in everyone He died for, receiving a Divine Call into the enjoyment of the eternal inheritance. Heb 9:14-15
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Eph 1:13-14

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth[The Call], the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

How bout discussing the question posed in post 73 instead of switching the subject? Do you or anyone else have the answer?

Why would God lay the iniquity of the entire world on Jesus, instead of just the iniquity of the elect?
Unfortunately the vast majority of the world would never out of there own free will praise and worship Jesus, let alone obey his commands. As it is written in the bible, time and time again Israel rejected God and his laws. They went there own way. And this is with a nation that had a covenant with him, they were his people, he even had a temple built in Jerusalem so he could be amongst his chosen people, still they rejected him! How more so the gentiles? The only way sadly that the Lord is going to get a harvest is to have the elect in the world. They however need to be harvested. Man cannot worship God without divine intervention. However, to stop mankind of not giving them an option, Jesus did indeed die for all on the cross, his fervent desire is that none shall perish, as history demonstrates , that aint going to happen.

So then God is either unwilling or unable to save all according to your thesis because of mans will?
But God is the one who works all things according to His own will Ephesians 1:11

God is the one who condemned all men to disobedience. So that He could have mercy on all. Rom 11:32
Does your free will and or choice override the Fathers will? Seeing you are just a creation of the Father just as all of us are.

Romans 5:20 "Gods law was given so that all people could see just how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, Gods grace became more abundant.
Romans 5:21 "So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now Gods wonderful grace rules instead giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord."

As these verses point out death had a period of dominion over man, but once Jesus established the New testament grace reigns unto life.

As you so kindly admit Jesus did die for ALL, so why then would He be happy with getting less than what He bought/redeemed with His own life?

Scriptures points to the saving death of Christ for them He died for. Now all for whom He died had a legal union with Him and were in Him, so that when He died, they died with Him just as they had a legal union with Adam so that when he died, they died with him. So for those in Christ when He died for them, and rose again, so too also they having died in Him, must also be raised up in newness of life Rom 6:4-6

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

See those Christ died for shall walk in the newness of life, will be delivered from being a servant of sin, which is unbelief. In other words they for whom Christ died will be born again, partake of the renewing of the Holy Ghost Titus 3:5

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

The renewing of the Holy Ghost equates to walk in the newness of life in Rom 6:4 above.

For all those Christ died His death exclusively for them acquired:

Deliverence from the hand of our enemies, Luke 1:71-74
71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,

This has to do with Spiritual enemies, what the crnal jews didnt understand. Jesus is a Horn of Salvation Vs 69

69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

By His Death He becomes the Captain of our Salvation ! This also fulfills the promise of Matt 1:21

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

For all those Christ died His death exclusively for them acquired:

Deliverance from the wrath to come 1 Thess 1:10

10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

For He was raised for our Justification Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

So again, those for whom offences He was delivered for, they the same consequently were delivered from the wrath to come
