I do not believe the Father would bother to draw them unto the Son to believe in Him to be saved if they were just doing an "appeasing the public gathering for the moment{ kind of thing.

The problem rests on discipleship which is to follow salvation.

Many evangelicals will preach the gospel message but they nor the church where they hold the event, do not do the follow up necessary which is teaching His commandments so that newly saved believers can live that life of repentance by looking to the author & finisher of our faith to help them lay aside every weight & sin in living that newly reconciled relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ of walking in the light in fellowship with the Father & the Son.

Even a simple, "read His words in the N.T. and trust Him to help you understand His words and to help you to do His commandments. By trusting Him to help you to abide in His words in following Him as His disciples is key to having a fruitful life with Him, because Jesus Christ is now in you & with you always as your Good Shepherd & Friend so that you are never alone," is the best way for new believers to recognize the changed reality they are now having as a saved believer.

We should never mix discipleship with salvation because many sinners have tried to change their sinful habits and cannot see it in themselves to even do it before coming to Jesus Christ for salvation and so this is why He is known also as the Deliverer to turn His people from their sins so they will no longer live in them, and not just have eternal life by believing in Him.

There is NO SUCH THING as salvation and a different thing called discipleship.

Well, according to what was shared, I believe the woman was saved but not discipled in realizing the new reality of having been reconciled to God the Father thru Jesus Christ in how we are to live that new life with God through Jesus Christ.

It would be akin to Jesus having laid the foundation in her at salvation but all the she did after salvation was built wood, stubble, and hay. She would have been still saved but denied by Him for being in iniquity still when the Bridegroom comes. Fortunately, from what I have read, the Lord has led her now to a life of repentance in living that reconciled relationship with the Father as a daughter of God.

You both preach against obey Jesus to be saved!

We are not blessed if we don't do what Jesus says, we are not a disciple, a family member and friend if we don't do what Jesus says to do.

Jesus says to repent of our sins and believe in him that he forgives sins.

You two are preaching against Jesus.

You preach we are not to repent of our sins to be saved, and you both preach something weird and false about discipleship is different than being saved and a family member and friend!!!

We save ourselves by coming to Jesus to be saved.

No man can come to the Son unless the Father draws him per John 6:44 We cannot even believe in Him unless the Father reveals His Son to us so we can believe in Him to be saved. Matthew 11:25-27 That means our believing in Him is a work of the Father and so why are you dismissing His work for our believing in Him as something trivial or something just not so grand? John 3:18-21

Acts 2:40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”

These Jews realized, thanks to the Father, that they had crucified their Saviour in unbelief in Acts 2:36 for why they were pricked in their hearts in Acts 2:37. They were told to save themselves!!! They have to obey Jesus and they were no longer hardened.

How do they come unto Him? What is the Father's will in how we are saved and given eternal life? This was explained way before verse 45.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

You cannot explain away verse 40 above. So don't even try. Which is why you probably keep ignoring it in the plainness of speech in favor of another scripture thus not really addressing verse 40 at all.

How do they come unto Him?

They came to Jesus because they were already a child of the Father's, and they recognized what Jesus was saying as the words of God!

What is the Father's will in how we are saved and given eternal life? This was explained way before verse 45.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

That is Jesus explaining that there were Jews who belonged to God by faith BEFORE Jesus came to make the NEW COVENANT that would be based on faith.

NOT ALL Jews had faith, for the old testament WAS NOT BASED ON FAITH---it was based on people getting circumcised in the flesh and doing the other purification works.

Some Jews had faith and some did not.

The JEWS who did NOT have faith when Jesus came, GOD cut them off and hardened them so that they could NOT be saved WHILE JESUS WAS ON EARTH.

Jesus came first for those Jews who already had faith and belonged to God.

THEY WERE THE FATHER'S, and now they had to go through Jesus to remain God's.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

We have to believe that we have to go through the man JESUS TO OBEY HIM.

The Jews only new of their Father God and never heard of Jesus the son before.

HOWEVER, they recognized what Jesus said as speaking the word of God the Father AND THAT IS WHY THEY WERE DRAWN TO HIM.

We are to BELIEVE that we have to obey him.
