Hi Rebecca,
I saw this post now about you having a jewish background.
Do you know about the seven?
As it is written here: rev 4:5 “And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.”
God has actually 7 spirits, not all christians know about it, most I believe only know that God has one spirit The Holy Spirit of God.
So how can God have 1 and also have seven spirits?
Well Jesus taught me it is because God is Light, and light will split in seven, the seven colors of the rainbow.
When we are turned towards God the seven lamps of the Holy temple of God will shine in unison, in white, thus they are united into one.
But if a person turns his back to God, the seven lamps of the Holy Temple of God within will shine in the seven colors of the rainbow. That person will be lost in the hands of the divider, satan.
It is why Jesus tells us many times in different ways in the bible “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (matt 6:21)
The Jews knew about the lamps, the seven, and about the one, we can know it from how the temple of Jerusalem was constructed, and what was worshiped there.
The seven spirits of God will rule us from within, if we are turned towards God as Jesus has showed us the way we will be ruled by the One Hly spirit, the seven united in the white light.
But the ones turned away from God will be ruled by the divider.
May it be that the One is Who you love?

I'm thinking that you read this posted on another bible forum, before it was deleted from that forum.
Except it was worded as:
The Rainbow is the crown of God and each color represents one of the seven Spirits of God.
And as I recall they also stated they were possessed by the seven Spirits of God.
I'm thinking that is how you came up with they will live inside of you.

Well to answer you, who asked for my guidance I will confess a most grievous sin that my old self committed before I had chosen Jesus. It may be one of the most horrible sins ever committed by man.
Even now that I write this there are tears in my eyes, and my heart is hurting.
I desecrated the Holy Temple of God, and even awakened the snakes. The eye was also awakened but evil.
Jesus mention that the eye may be seeing but bad/evil (depending on translation here:
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22 The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!…
In His immense Grace Jesus our savior forgave me even as that sin seems unforgivable, for the Temple is Holy.
And he even turned it to an advantage that my eye was seeing, and that I knew of the Temple of God within. As Jesus helped me clean out the evil from the Temple, and to clean and heal the eye, instead of evil the eye could see the Light of God, and the Temple instead of being full of evil spirit became full of the Holy Spirit, He led me to become a lost son who returned to Father.
About your question about jews, I know that many have been blind, but some have been seeing/God made them seeing, all of the prophets have been seeing, or they could not have become a prophet.
It is partly inherited the ability to know the Temple, partly a blessing from God, and partly a choice as I understand it.
The prophets of the bible were led by God, some of them saw the colors of lamps for example ezekiel 1:27
27 From what seemed to be His waist up, I saw a gleam like amber, with what looked like fire enclosing it all around. From what seemed to be His waist down, I also saw what looked like fire. There was a brilliant light all around Him. 28 The appearance of the brilliant light all around was like that of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day. This was the appearance of the form of the Lord’s glory. When I saw it, I fell facedown and heard a voice speaking.
I know those colors, I know about that fire, the rainbow.
I do not believe any of the prophets before Jesus came to earth in the flesh could have reached purity, cause Jesus is the way to Father Who is purity. But on the other hand Jesus is in unity with God, who was and is forever.
There is also a jewish tradition that speaks of the different functions of the seven. But even though it seems similar to what Jesus has taught me about the unique functions of the seven spirits of God controlling us from within, it does not seem identical to me, so I will not repeat it.
But Jews also have the seven armed menora, and the candles will shine in white.
This part of the bible would apply: 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
The fourth lamp at the center of the Holy Temple is His heart, His Love.
It is why we must follow Him to the desert for 40 days.
When the Temple is in order, Jesus may lead us there, when God our Father is worshiped the 4th lamp shining in bright white, will fulfill the first commandment, to Love God with all our heart, mind and soul.
At that point we are replaced by His light, that is Love.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,

No the light of God is the actual eternal reality, only being aware of the rainbow is a curse, all seven should shine in white, if they shine in the colors of the rainbow you are ruled by the divider, and the one Holy Spirit is not with you.
