please tell me how you imagine God doesn't know the answer to everything already..

I'm actually more interested in what Scripture would lead you to think that God does know the answer to everything already. If one knows that one's child is going to run out into the street and be horribly killed by a passing car and yet do nothing about it, then that's a really bad parent. Maybe even evil.
But I'd also rather not hijack this thread. YET... to provide an answer: God knows all that is knowable. But God doesn't know the future because the future doesn't exist for it to be knowable.

All angels have true free will. But the space in which it can be exercised is at God's discretion.
For the devil to be able to have entered Eden, God had to open the door for him. The devil for example cannot 'roam freely' back into heaven.

I wouldn't say it's all 'not knowable'. God would have 'forecasts, calender's and budgets' for planned events.
I would also add, for the many that would object, that God can ''know'' it all. But He chooses to not. This pleases Him and He does what pleases Him Psalm 115:3.
But your thinking is sound. The event of the great tribulation for example has not yet taken place. That is true for both us who are limited by time (dust to dust) and angels not limited by time.

Read the Bible? I have Translated most all of the Bible.
I even know that there are three versions of the book of Job that all have different endings. (The Masoretic texts, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the LXX.)
Now if you actually want to learn the fundamentals of Prophecy and Time, please start a thread and invite me over. You could even start a private conversation.

Why? Why wouldn't the "doors" have been already open by default? And who says there even are "doors"? One single line in a poem about manna falling from heaven?
Show me this scripture where God had to open a door in order that angels could get in and out of heaven. God is our doorman? Odd metaphor, even though I get that Jesus is the door to the sheepfold. (Almost sounds a bit like the Urantia Book.)
The Devil could go anywhere he wanted (unless restricted by a "hedge"). OR please show me otherwise.

Well I might as well stick this here:
That's God Establishing the future, not "knowing" it (as if it had already happened - because it hasn't).
The common misunderstanding of prophecy about future events is that God takes the prophet INTO the future where he watches things as if they are already happening, but they have not happened. They are not yet done. Nothing in the Future has happened since the Future does not exist - it isn't a place to where one can go. So what is prophecy? It is God declaring to his prophet what God has decided TO DO when the time comes to do it. But one must understand time first. TIME is nothing more than the ability of an object to travel through space relative to other objects. The Past is a function of memory, the Future is a function of imagination. Neither are places that exist.
So this is what composes prophecy:
(Isaiah 46:9-11 KJV) Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
God declaring the things that are NOT YET DONE (they haven't happened yet), things that he WILL BRING TO PASS. And he shows a vision of this event to his prophets.
And if God decides a thing should be done, and given that He has the power to do it, one can pretty much be sure that we "know" what WILL happen (if we understand what was spoken). But God doesn't make EVERYTHING happen. If so, then you'd just be a cog in the machine, a pin ball bouncing around the world.
Time, the Future, and Prophecy are pretty abstract concepts, although true.
Please forgive if my words fail to bring enlightenment.
It can be difficult to express some things.
Likewise, it can be difficult to understand some things.
I was looking at verses mentioning Jesus being wisdom and thought that it is not a topic often addressed.

A lot of my views about time coalesced a few decades ago when I was studying nuclear physics (how do y'all say this?) ... at uni.
Even Einstein described Quantum Entanglement as, "Spooky action at a distance."
A good deal of Quantum Mechanics can only be expressed in mathematical formula.
The "I have no idea why it works, it just does" experience.
At this point I am now inclined to see Truth as an electrical structure or an electrochemical neural construct within the brain.
Even what language one learns as a child, then, can modify what one sees as Truth.
( I mean there's nothing good on TV... WAIT .... "the telly."

The Septuagint does not have Job repenting. At all. For anything. But yes, that's a good way to put it. Job looked around at all this utterly insane complexity God showed him and essentially gave the Jewish Shrug, "Eh, what do I know..."
I feel that way all the time, and I happen to know a LOT... so ...

The word "hazy" reminds me of my 90 year old father (God rest his soul) when, after his stroke, he was confused about why the giraffe was sticking his head in through the wall in his hospital room. That's when I realized he had no need to be corrected in knowledge at that point, but rather encouraged and comforted - loved. And I thank you very much for your encouragement and love. (Working on showing that to others.)
