This is of course a much more talked about personality in the OT than the "son or child" of God. Where both are the shadow relationships of the OT. But there is much more on Israel as the Wife of God. Because in a Wife the Greatest Relationship is Lived and Enjoyed.
We see that Israel was mentioned by God as "His Son". But of course a "shadow" Son pointing to the Real Son in the NT. Where the Real Son is a Personal Son born of God as His Father in that very Personal Relationship which many experiences in the world today and witness about this as a Reality. And Israel was just a shadow of this Son. Where God used Israel as the "shadow son" to manifest His Characteristics as the Perfect Father to His Son, Israel.
Jeremiah 3
19 But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.
The whole of the OT and this "shadow relationship" was for us.
1 Peter 1:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
We can now benefit from knowing our "Abba Father/Daddy, Jehovah" in His manifestation of Love as a Father over Israel. Which was done by Him for our sake to know Him as our Father who Loves us now in a much Greater Relationship as that of the shadow of Israel.
Hebrew 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
All of this is exactly the Reality of the Wife of God too.
Israel and its relationship as a Wife to God was also just the shadow of the Greater Reality of the Wife of God now in NT perspective. God can never change.
Isaiah 54
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
We all met in all the religions with the concept of the Bride. Where a Bride is the entrance into "being woman" of the child of God.
Rev. 19:
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
When there is a Bride then there is a Wife. Because the Wife is the Family Creation and the Manifestation of the ultimate Life in Family Being of God. His ultimate vision and the New Jerusalem on earth. As Family life is the Greatest of all Life. But of course it starts at the most Glorious entrance of the Bride and Bridegroom in that Love between them. Where the Love between God and His Bride and Him as Bridegroom is created by the Words which He manifested from the Gift of Wisdom from Solomon.
Song of Songs.
1 The song of songs, which is Solomon’s.
2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.*n1
3 Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.
4 Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.*
The Ultimate Holy Spirit Love of Bride and Bridegroom in their discovery of each other in that Personal Relationship between God and a Child who entered that Love with Him. A Child who was raised by His Gifts to be ready for it.
Eph. 4:
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

But in their "foolishness" they "banned" me with a lie which they can not stand for. And now that is not available to all. Surely it was the religious behind that banning?
