[John 3:3 KJV] "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
[John 3:5 KJV] "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." ********* Jesus is saying that to enter the kingdom of God they had to be born again. The kingdom of God was the prophetic, promised millennial kingdom on earth. Christ will sit on David's throne and rule from Jerusalem. Believing Israel would reign with Christ as priests.

[John 3:7 KJV] "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." ********* The nation of Israel had to be born again.

[John 3:16 KJV] "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
[John 3:17 KJV] "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
[John 3:18 KJV] "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." ********* To be born again Israel had to believe on the name of Jesus by believing he was Christ, the Son of God.

Being born again has been popularized to describe a believing Christian. You can use that term, but just realize it's not scriptural. Only Israel had to be born again.

Born again. Believer. Born again believer. Call it what you want. There is only one narrow path now for all... Jesus.

Please tell me what is the gospel?
ask Jesus Christ what to do.

i'm reminded of a rather interesting exchange i had on an island my brother and i sailed to. met an old man, 70 something years. he mentioned he was the first to bring digital editing effects into the porn industry back in the days of vhs and made enough money to buy 5 houses.

he mentioned he is a christian and loves the spiritual high that he gets from singing worship music lyrics. i'm like: not buying this is legit. so i tell him words along the lines of "feelings are great but what are you doing for God, why not ask him what to do with your remaining years"

he paused, thought for a moment, and he replied: "you're the first person who ever said that to me"

we continued a bit and i warned him you know the demons are going to show up real quick to tell you what to do instead, he knew what i was talking about.

John 3 never says “only Israel” can be born again. Jesus said, “Except a man be born again” and “whosoever believeth in him should not perish” (John 3:3,16). That language is universal, not limited to ethnic Israel.

The new birth is also clearly applied to Christians in the epistles: “Being born again… by the word of God” (1 Pet. 1:23) and “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God” (1 John 5:1).

So while Jesus was speaking to Nicodemus, a Jew, the doctrine itself is not restricted to Israel. Everyone who truly believes in Christ must be spiritually born again.

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Cor. 15:1-4). Salvation is through faith in Him alone.

Whether someone says “believer,” “born again believer,” or “Christian,” the point is the same: there is only one Savior and one way to God, Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

Scripture does not teach one new birth for Israel and another salvation for the Church. Anyone who truly believes in Christ is born of God (1 John 5:1).

Very good we sre saved by faith in his death, resurrection and his blood

If a believer wants to call themselves born again very well, its just not scriptual. That term became mainstream in the 70s with Jimmy Carter and Chuck Colson (I was there). Its a cultural term for Christians.

Jesus was talking about Israel being born again

John 3:16-18 is within the context of what Israel (and whosoever would) had to believe to be born again
They had to believe in the name of Jesus for eternal life, NOT THE CROSS, that wasnt revealed or accomplished yet in John 3 ************ [John 3:18 KJV] "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." ******* **** He that believes has believed on HIS NAME. To believe on his name was to believe he was Christ, the Son of God.
Look at these verses *********** [John 20:31 KJV] "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name." ********* Israel had to believe Jesus was Christ, the Son of God
[1 John 5:1 KJV] "Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him." ******** They had to believe he was Christ
[1 John 5:13 KJV] "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." ******* They had to believe he is Son of God
