[Matthew 3:1 KJV] "In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,"
[Matthew 3:2 KJV] "And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
[Matthew 3:6 KJV] "And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins."
[Mark 1:14 KJV] "Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God," *********** The gospel of the kingdom included water baptism

[1 Corinthians 1:17 KJV] "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect." ********** water baptism wasn't included in Paul's gospel

The fact that one gospel includes water and the other doesn't, shows there are two gospels. John and Jesus and the twelve preached one and Paul the other

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth

Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways

Actually, I would think there are basically 4 Gospels.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

However, since Gospel is to mean "Good News/Glad Tidings".
There is quite a bit of Good News in Scripture! \o/

Need I say the four gospels derived their name from man

[Matthew 3:1 KJV] "In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,"

The word "gospel" is a mistranslation of what Jesus says, that he brings "good news" for sinners. There is only one good news, the good news that Jesus taught us and later Paul patiently tried to explain the meaning of.

( just a note don't be drinking coffee or drinking anything while reading my comment)

May Jesus fill us with his love and humor

In the scripture we never see Jesus using a toilet, no outhouse never taking a dump anywhere. Therefore we should consider out houses toilets and so on to be evil because it's not in the scripture and it was never talked about.

Dear Member Aberdeen,
Is Jesus the Son of God?

Admonishment: Also, stop adding a link to your in search of the real Jesus page to any of your postings. It will be removed. Disregard what I’m saying here, but if you keep doing so, real point warnings will come next.

That's because they were not called gospels by their authors. No, I am not an atheist.

Why do you allow music links but not factual information links? Isn't the truth more important than music??? Yes, Jesus is God. However, there is zero evidence that Jesus is the founder of Christianity, which arose after 180 AD. The word "christian" is in the New Testament, but there is no religion called Christianity. True religion is defined in James 1:27, which isn't remotely the same as Christianity.

Doug, after thread after thread of isolated verses, manufactured contradictions, and conclusions that ignore the surrounding context, you are starting to look less like someone seeking truth and more like someone determined to force a system onto Scripture. The Bible repeatedly warns us to be careful with teachers who distort God's word (2 Peter 3:16), teach things contrary to sound doctrine (1 Timothy 1:3), or divide believers through speculative interpretations (Titus 3:9).

Please examine yourself carefully in light of these warnings. None of us should want to stand before God and discover that we handled His word carelessly or led others into error.

As for your claim, the fact that baptism is mentioned in one context and not emphasized in another does not create two gospels. By that logic, every time one biblical author mentions a detail another author does not, we would have multiple gospels.

Paul explicitly taught there is only one gospel. In Galatians 1:8-9 he pronounces a curse on anyone who preaches another gospel. If there were two legitimate gospels, Paul's warning makes no sense.

Your argument also ignores the fact that Paul himself baptized converts (1 Corinthians 1:14-16). Therefore, baptism cannot be what separates Paul's gospel from that of Jesus and the apostles.

The difference is not two gospels. The difference is emphasis. John the Baptist, Jesus, the Twelve, and Paul all proclaimed salvation through God's redemptive work. You are taking a ministry distinction and turning it into a gospel distinction, and the text simply does not support that conclusion.

I didnt say it was wrong to call them the 4 gospels
The only gospel found in them is the gospel of the kingdom for Israel

If it were factual study, I would accept it. All I have seen is opinionated writings.
So, the link has been removed, and I have asked you to not use it anymore.
Thank-you.
