[Matthew 21:22 KJV] "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." ******** If you think this is for us in the church, the body of Christ, you will be disillusioned. Jesus gave this promise to the church in Jerusalem, not to us.

Smh you cant even answer my question vy what you mean n you wanna ask me what jesus said? Smh these are your words not his lol smh
What I know is one of the reasons people lose faith is because of unanswered prayer
Thinking this verse is meant for us can cause it

I see
So if someone thinks a loved one can be healed and they arent it's because it's their fault because they werent following the Lord as they should

It is written
I Will Have Mercy On Whom I Will Have Mercy..
Idk what you are talking about
Just because i don't get what i want from someone dont mean I would abandon them . You do understand you can not bargain with the Lord...?
Are you saying if one dont get what they want they should fall off from following the Lord?
You think when one dont get what they want from the Lord its because He dont what ?Love them?

May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom

I don't think that you understand the scripture very well. You're taking the scripture very literally. And you're forgetting about the Holy Spirit. You're forgetting about the spirit of the scripture the thing that Jesus complains to the Pharisees about.

You can read the letter of the law but if you do not understand the spirit of the law then you don't understand anything.

The letter of the law seems to be everything of that time period. But the spirit of the law and the spirit in which the scripture is written tells us that it is for all of us and not just those of that era

In saying I take scripture literally realy means we can make it say something it doesnt
I let scripture say what it says

Matthew 5:29 - 30
If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body..

This is literally what the scripture says. Do we do this?

There is a difference between the literal translation and understanding the spirit of the teaching.

The way you framed your statement was that you cant take scripture literally
Now you bring up Matthew 5:29-30 which of course cant be taken as being literal
The question is are you saying all scripture cant be taken literally or not

Jesus told the Pharisees that they were holding back the people because they were not teaching the "spirit" of the teaching. He wasn't talking about the Holy Spirit in this regard, he was talking about the fullness of what the teaching is not the Limited view..

The fullness of the scripture is a letter from God to us. And what Jesus tries to convey is that the most important thing is our love for God and to receive God's love for us there's nothing greater than this.

To love God with all your heart, to love God with all your mind, to love God with all your strength, and your whole being.

And to love your neighbor as yourself.

This is the fullness of the scripture.
