Unlike people in the past, today we have the advantage of the telescope and microscope, where we can understand that God is about both intricate microscopic detail, as well as unimaginable vastness beyond words. Even a human artist when painting a large mural, also takes time to enhance the tiniest detail; for example, the expression in a child's eyes within a large crowd.

When one considers the universal backbone containing trillions of galaxies of stars, arranged like a gigantic lattice of light separated by dark voids and then, the overwhelming complexity of the trillions of tiny cells containing trillions of parts working in perfect tandem together to form a living being, one must tread very carefully when even considering uttering the word "God".

Some today claim that we humans are insignificant given the vastness of the universe, but such folks seldom stop to consider the complex human cell noted above or the perplexing (to us) world of the quantum reality. The truth is, we humans are caught up somewhere in-between two extremes, the vastness of space/time and the lepton and other extremely tiny parts we are made of. Exploring in either direction seemingly has no end.

The Bible unsurprisingly, considering who God is, represents a gradual revelation; visions of a very great light, granted through numerous individuals over thousands of years of time. No biblical author knows everything, nor does anyone today even remotely know even a little, compared to what we do not know and have yet to learn. As I Corinthians 13:12 correctly states: "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known."

Many today mock the very idea of God, as if they somehow have a better explanation for the universal reality, which they never bother to rationally explain, as if basing their ignorance on evidence is somehow beneath them. An agnostic who claims to not know if there is a Creator likewise, fails to offer a better explanation. And thus, agnosticism is no more honest than atheism.

Some people pretend that the Bible says God is a "little man in the sky", but this is what the Bible really says: "Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens" cannot contain God I Kings 8:27 and in God, "we live and move and have our being" Acts 17:28.

Many historians in great error treat the God of the Bible as just one of the numerous gods found in human civilization history. But this is obviously untrue, when one considers the following. In Exodus 3:14, God reveals himself as "I AM." And later Jesus in John 8:58 says, "Most assuredly I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM."

This remains the only ancient God out of hundreds of gods, who correctly matches the known modern evidence. If God is not eternal, is not I AM, which no other god in history claims to be, there is no rational explanation for the grand design universal reality; there is no logic, no reason, no science and no hope for a violent wayward self-contradicting race called "human being".

God told Moses to tell his people that "I am" sent you. Jesus says, "before Abraham was, I am."

Humans are one person in one being. God is three persons in one being; father, son and holy spirit."
:p
Do you REALLY believe THAT?
"I AM" is not only nonsensible but a Mistranslation.
"I shall prove to be" is what is meant.

According to the Britannica, the Hebrew YHWH means "I am, I shall be, spoken to infinity". Since no human can speak to infinity, God shortens this to "I am" so Moses could tell his people that "I am" sent him. The Britannica article on the early history of the Jews is written by a Jewish scholars and expert on early Jewish history. I will tale that meaning over yours.

If you were an Eternal Being, how else would you describe yourself, other than I AM? Out of all of the ancient gods, only the true God claims to be eternal, having no birth, beginning or ending. Only God in the bible matches the current 21st Century evidence.

That is NOT the answer He was giving the prophet, and it was not used by Jesus.
John 8:58 - Jesus says to the Pharisees and Sadducees, "before Abraham was, I am". Jesus is here claiming to be eternal, that is God, which is why the Jews picked up stones in an attempt to stone him, which failed.

Perhaps the literal Greek helps in understanding the intention of Jesus: "Truly, truly I say unto you, before Abraham came to exist, I am." The Jews understood that only God can claim to be "I am", which is why they took up stones to stone Jesus.

John 8:58-59 NKJV: "Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM. Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by."
