May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom.

Many years ago, the Lord wanted me to learn about my brothers and sisters in the Protestant churches. To understand how people think and their faith. At the time I was living in Eastern Kentucky, and trust me there are many churches there. But over the next three years I spent time every Sunday going to services of a variety of different churches.

I came to a number of conclusions from the experience. One of those has to do with Core Belief. Although there's a variety of different thinking when it comes to other things that makes each church a little bit different on its own. The Core thinking of everyone was the same - and this included my own church which is the Catholic Church.

The Core thinking is this, Jesus was born of a human woman. He was born both man and God at the same time. He died on a cross for our sins. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. And we have to be baptized and receive Christ in our hearts.

Now when it comes to all the other things, I typically will refer to them as politics. Because all the politics isn't something that's going to cause a person to go to heaven or hell it's just all the details. And these are where all our differences come from.

As far as our differences are concerned, I want to point out something simple that when they were building the Tower of Babel, it was God that chose to stir up the languages of all these people and have them go all their separate ways. It was God's choice to do these things, and he wasn't making it so that they all would fall from God, he just stirred up their languages.

So when we look at the division from the Catholic church and all the other churches that come along. We have to understand that God allows these things to take place, how do we learn if, we're not challenged. How do we learn deeper things that the Holy Spirit teaches to us, if we all think alike.

I don't see the divisions of the church as a negative thing, I see it as God's handiwork. To let us walk our different ways to learn different things and in the end come together as one.

Sure we can blame the devil, we can sit there and say it was his fault that the churches are all separated. But we have to realize that God's ways are above our own, and if we look at that simple thought that the devil had such great power to stir up the Tower of Babel, or to break up what God had brought together in the first place. Then I would say that we are the ones who are deceived by the devil. That the truth is it's God who separated us and it's God who we're going to come together with in the end.

So what happened to the 4th commandment, you don't like the Sabbath day?

I agree the core belief in every Sunday church is the same as the Roman catholic church. I grew up in a catholic church and I have been to many Sunday churches myself.

Correct, God did confound the language. What he didn't confound is the gospel. Spanish, French, English or whatever person you are should all be keeping the commandments and the faith of Jesus.

You make it sound like the catholic church is the church of God. Boy that is the furthest thing from the truth. The true church of God has always been the people and the people is Israel. Anyone who wants salvation must do what Israel do in order to get it.

Acts 7: 37 - 38

37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us

I agree it is the work of God. Do you need a reminder that Satan has ministers as well? And if he has ministers he also has churches and plenty of them. Satan can't do anything unless God allows it and God allows it because some people just don't want the truth.

All credit goes to God. Satan is simply God's weapon and he does what God tells him to do. See the book of the prophet Job.

A core belief is that Mary did NOT live a sinless life, did NOT get taken to heaven, and is NOT God/Jesus' secretary.
We need no mediator but Jesus.

That is not a core belief.

Core belief is what all agree with. And whether you are into mary or not , is a non issue for going to heaven

Which heaven which hell. Let me rephase that statement, to cause a person to be with God the Father, or not..

The Sabbath, will it help i went to saturday catholic mass every week, then on sunday i went somewhere else.

As for Satan, he is not God's tool, as you put it. God does use his decisions. Satan is not equal to God nor is Satan all powerful.

Well that's one way to avoid a question....

Do you keep the Sabbath day holy??

Satan is a weapon of God. When God wants to destroy someone he lets Satan do it. Satan is not out here rampaging on the Earth. He can only do what God allows.

There is no avoiding a question. Either you are with God the Father in Heaven or you are not. Don't tell me you deny this?

Of course i keep the Sabbath Day holy.

But i wonder, do you believe the bible is the Word of God? Do you believe the author of the Bible is Jesus? If so, why aren't you doing what Jesus says?

The peace of Jesus Christ be with you, Bill. I'm one of those Christians that currently has no congregation but whomever I meet in my journeys. I'm just here to post my agreement with you on the Core Belief of The Majestic and Everlasting Holiness of Jesus Christ.

I don't know if the Thief On the Cross (Saint Dismas?) was baptized, but I do know that Jesus is mighty to save us from our sins and iniquities - IF we agree to live as Jesus wants us to. The so called Core Beliefs sound like the Nicene Creed, and should be the behavior of any Christian worth their salt. It is a spiritual discipline, a personal relationship with GOD who created and rules the heavens and this earth. Everything else is "politics" haha. Again, I point to the faith of the thief on the cross and Jesus saving him that day. This is holy love, grace, and mercy and justice - only The Perfect Living God has this miraculous power forever.

The Word of God wants us to be together frequently and forever, as He commands with what we dub His Great Commission. And seeing the core of Christian souls who worship the Way, the Truth, and The Life, we can focus on the others. As Holy Jesus teaches, even the abused and outright possessed have a lifetime of a chance.

Let us eschew iniquity, so that out prayers and testimonial lifestyles for Christ Almighty are not in vain.

When is the Sabbath day?

Also be specific because I don't know you and you don't know me. So saying I don't obey Jesus when you didn't ask me anything is you making a judgement call and all I did was ask you questions....What's wrong you don't want anyone to challenge what you said? I don't see any scripture in the original post. What comes out your mouth or what you type is not the words of Jesus.

Hi... Juno, there is a level of aggression apparent since your first response in this thread; and in this moment I think of Saint Mark chapter 9:

38 And John answered him, saying, "Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us."
39 But Jesus said, "Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward."

Bill understands this. From the perspective of Bill's post, you admit you are "stuck on the politics" like the robber, instead of focusing on Christ like the thief. (And what do we know of this thief other than Jesus took him to Paradise.) It's a harsh comparison, but I think you understand this Matthew 7 kind of perspective.

I asked him questions. Nothing aggressive about my first post to him.

Ephesians 4: 4 - 6

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

One gospel means one gospel. So people claim Jesus and don't even do a water baptism, we are clearly not on one accord. You can be on one accord and not in the same physical church that's what Jesus is talking about in the scripture you quoted. We got Mormons who got a book of Mormon (I once went to that church and attended regularly), we got seven day Adventist and roman catholic and Methodist, Pentecostal etc etc.

Christ is not divided and neither is his church. Everyone doesn't even agree that we should keep the commandments. Just because people claim Jesus don't make them Christian.

I asked him questions. Nothing aggressive about my first post to him.
As someone who left three Judas cults, I see you bear false witness like you're still in the cult. Friendly fire is a thing.

Prove it. Chapter and verse. Also, when was the Thief on the Cross baptized?

Christ is not divided and neither is his church.
Christ is Truth. Look at Lucifer, Cain, Solomon, and Judas for example. So yeah, not divided. Wheat and tares.

Everyone doesn't even agree that we should keep the commandments.
like mixing textiles and haircuts and married high priests who lead by example

Just because people claim Jesus don't make them Christian.
Facts (and Christ is Truth). Hypocrisy and iniquity send the most effective exorcists straight to their adopted daddy's evil lap:

Saint Matthew, chapter 7:
22
"Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?"
23 "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

That context brings us to this one:

Saint Mark, chapter 9:
38 And John ( portrayed by @JunoTheServant ) answered him, saying, "Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us."
39 But Jesus said, "Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
(that should be every Christian ever, but look at Judas Isacariot and everyone who sins;)
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water (Whosoever. Anyone. They are not miraculously parting the Red Sea in the Sacred Name of GOD; it is just a cup of water) to drink in my name, because ye (@JunoTheServant ) belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward."

Take it up to Jesus The True And Living God as to the breakdown of what HE says in verse 41. Even if they say "Jesus" and only have a cup of water to give you because you @JunoTheServant belong to Christ, " verily I (JESUS) say unto you, he shall not lose his reward."

The thief on the cross only professed Jesus as he died, and Jesus took him as his own. WHAT cup of water? What miracle? Was the thief baptized with a squirt gun by a werewolf in sheep's clothing prior to his crucifixion? Jesus rewarded the former thief by Personally taking him to Paradise to be with Him, and Christ is Eternal so that means forever. No one can deny this. Anti-Christs can scream in Hell about it. Sad.

Anyone can claim and exclaim Jesus Christ all they want. Jesus knows His own. We have no say in whom He will forgive. Look at Saul of Tarsus.

Only Christ can claim His faithful. We must forgive each other starting with ourselves. As a fellow former spiritually abused victim, I will add you @JunoTheServant to our prayer list. There is only One Jesus Christ to address and serve, the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

The Core thinking is this, Jesus was born of a human woman. He was born both man and God at the same time. He died on a cross for our sins. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. And we have to be baptized and receive Christ in our hearts.
Most people refer to "Core Belief" as "Salvation Issue". Non Salvation Issues/Core Beliefs are just politics as you said.

I don't see the divisions of the church as a negative thing, I see it as God's handiwork.
Ditto. Last I checked there were more than 40000 Christian denominations. A distributed system is more resilient than a centralized one. When DARPA created the internet, avoiding a central point of failure was a goal. God seems to have a similar strategy to make the church resilient.

Jesus unites; denominations divide. we live in a fallen world that is the only reason we are in different denominations.
Know thi,,s denominations do not save you, Jesus does, there are many who are not saved in all denominations, but those that are saved are of one church, that is of Jesus Christ no matter the denomination.

Ask a person if they are saved and if the first thing they tell yes, I am "fill in the denomination" they are most likely not saved, when I was a catholic, I did not even know you had to be born again, never heard that before, when I was catholic if someone asked me if I was saved I would always o yes, I am catholic. Not yes by God's grace. God gets the glory not the denomination.

Core belief, interesting you mention baptism, I say that because Catholics baptize infants, is that what you are referring to?

Babtisim is not something you do to be saved, and it has nothing to do with saving a person. Jesus did everything, baptism is our public declaration declaring Jeus Lord over our life! You can be baptized and not saved

Purgatory is another thing that takes away from Jesus' work on the cross, thinking we need to do something or can do something to go to heaven, then that is not grace.

Communion is another thing that Catholics do that is very insulting to Jesus, crucifying him every Sunday with communion, he died once and for all.

Praying to mary as the mediator instead of Jeus is another insult Catholics do, most are unaware of it, because that's what they are taught, but it is wrong, and some even deny it is a prayer yet its called the hail mary prayer LOL Jesus suffered and dies to be out mediator, I think we should give him that and not confuse it with marry

The Catholic church insults Jesus every chance it gets, I always hated seeing Jesus hanging on the cross suffering, he is alive and well, no need to have a crucifixion in the church, have a empty tomb.

And we have to be baptized and receive Christ in our hearts.

Well that's one way to avoid a question....

Do you keep the Sabbath day holy??

Yes it is good to be mindful of the Sabbath because under the Mosaic Covenant God treated violations very seriously. However scripture teaches that the Sabbath was given as a covenant sign between God and Israel, not all nations.

Exodus 31:16-17 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath to observe the sabbath throughout their generations for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever...

Notice that God does not say it is a sign between Himself and all mankind. He specifically says it is a sign between Himself and Israel.

Likewise the Sabbath command was tied to Israel's deliverance from Egypt.

Deuteronomy 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

Gentiles were never brought out of Egypt and were never placed under the Mosaic Covenant.

When the apostles met in Acts 15 to determine what obligations should be placed upon Gentile believers they listed several requirements yet did not require Sabbath keeping. If Sabbath observance was mandatory for salvation or Christian fellowship this would have been the perfect place to state it.

The New Testament also teaches liberty regarding special days:

Romans 14:5-6 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day regardeth it unto the Lord...

Paul could not have written this if keeping a specific Sabbath day was mandatory for all Christians.

Colossians 2:16-17 Let no man therefore judge you in meat or in drink or in respect of an holyday or of the new moon or of the sabbath days:
Which are a shadow of things to come but the body is of Chris
t.

Paul explicitly says believers are not to be judged regarding Sabbath days because they were shadows pointing forward to Christ.

Paul also warned the Galatians about returning to the observance of special days as a religious obligation:

Galatians 4:10-11 Ye observe days and months and times and years. I am afraid of you lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

Our true rest is ultimately found in Christ:

Hebrews 4:9-10 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest he also hath ceased from his own works as God did from his.

Conclusion:

I respect the Sabbath and the principle of worship and rest. However I do not believe the New Testament teaches that Christians are under obligation to keep the Jewish Sabbath. Scripture says it was a covenant sign given to Israel and the apostles never imposed Sabbath observance on Gentile believers. Instead believers are given liberty regarding days and are told not to judge one another over Sabbath observance.
