Did you ever notice that folks who carry pro-life signs never carry anti-war signs, never carry anti-homelessness signs, never carry anti-mass pollution signs, never carry universal healthcare signs? This is because they aren't really pro-life. A real pro-life person would carry all of these signs.

A real pro-life person would never vote for a Republican, ever. What has the GOP done to help end homelessness, help clean up mass pollution, help put an end to war, help poor people obtain health care or enough quality food after they are born? Absolutely nothing. In fact, the GOP has increased the problem in every category.

Did you know that according to the World Health Organization, pollution is the number one killer on earth? Apparently, the GOP believes giving corporate welfare to the wealthy is more important than worrying about the health of our heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, brain and other things that pollution destroys, such as the animals we consume, the soil we grow our food in, the water we drink and the air we try our best to breathe in.

And Apparently, "pro-life" means we pretend to care about you until you emerge from the womb and, after that you're on your own. But not really, the GOP doesn't even care if a mother has healthcare, good nutrition or a roof over her head while she is carrying a child. And, if her baby has life-long health issues because she doesn't earn enough to afford even the bare basics, well, perhaps her baby can just suck it up and learn to live with the consequences.

After all, the GOP opposes the government helping disabled people, because that is somehow socialism. But somehow, it's not socialism if the government helps big oil companies and the already super wealthy. But according to the GOP, the government helping anyone who really needs it is either socialism, Marxism or worse.

Meanwhile, the GOP is doing their best to rig the vote in every state where they possibly can. After all, they don't want anyone with half a brain being able to vote, especially if their skin isn't lily-white. And they've already rigged the Supreme Court.

Mother Teresa was strongly against abortion. I never said a negative word about that. That's because she took Jesus at his word and cared about the sick, the poor and the otherwise oppressed who are already born, the opposite of what the grossly hypocritical GOP does.

Before we run down all the Republicans, maybe we should run down everyone altogether. God doesn't take sides. However maybe we should look at what are people willing to do. Like murder. Who believes in abortion and who does not. Who teaches their children to honor their mother and father. Who teaches there is a God? Who teaches to keep the Sabbath day holy? We could go down the list.

If we want to get into an argument about the homeless maybe you should try describing exactly who the homeless are. Because I have experienced the so-called homeless, and the real people that are homeless are not as many as those who choose to be homeless

There is a greater growing group of young adults between the ages of 17 and 35 that choose to be on the streets because everything's for free. I know this from personal experience of dealing with such people. It's a little bit disgusting personally.

I could take you to a tire repair shop and stand in the front office and watch the lady across the street who's begging for money. But 5:00 comes along and she'll walk over to her Mercedes Benz that's hidden behind the bushes and drive off.

In Portland Oregon, there are people living in tents because they choose to. I've talked to a few of those people, and they pretty much said the same thing to me every single one without exception. Homeless people freeze to death every year. In Nashville, a man froze to death on a downtown church's steps. A woman in Nashville was deliberately murdered because she was homeless; the two men who did it admitted as such. They brutally beat a homeless man on the same night. This happens far more than you probably know on a national level. It is very dangerous to be homeless in America, especially for women and children of both sexes.

God is on everyone's side, but God doesn't like or ignore what people and nations often do. We know from how Jesus reacted to the Pharisees, scribes, Sadducees and lawyers, that God especially hates hypocrisy. No one who supports the current Republican agenda is either pro-Jesus or pro-life.

I got laid off once and my company paid for professional services that helped you find a new position. On the way to the first appointment with my assigned career consultant I saw a scruffy looking person on the subway staring at me. He looked somewhat familiar. Later that day I remembered that he was the guy I ignored on the street corner begging for money on my way to work every morning. As a Christian now I feel convicted when reading MT 25:44-45.

This is just data. Being in power during more years, during recessions, during war ... will skew the data. Nevertheless debt is a momentous problem that will affect the entire world when it all comes tumbling down.

Thank you for your response. I met a young homeless man in Arizona who had been laid off because of auto industry downsizing; when this happens, it entire towns. According to him, there was no work, no jobs where he lived, because other businesses in turn laid people off. He lost everything, his home, his wife who left him and his kids.

Every homeless person has their own story and, it is callous and cruel the way many pretend that the homeless are all just lazy or that they choose to be homeless. Thank you for your response and may God bless you.
