1 Corinthians 10:13- God will not allow us to be tempted more than we can bear

1 Corinthians 10:13 'No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.'

I was wondering how people interpret the above verse?

It is such a lovely verse with words of encouragement. However, I do wonder if it gets misinterpreted? People tend to say it means that God will not allow us to experience suffering more than we can bear.

However, I read it as God will now allow us to be tempted more than we can manage - I guess to a point of no return. But then even if we do fall into temptation, God will still redeem us because he is faithful.

I think one would have to agree what a temptation is. I am sure God is talking about the temptation to sin, any sin. God will not tempt you to sin but Satan only! I reflect on it in my on life. I look back at a time before God, and I can see where I didn't look at any thing in my life as a temptation. I didn't know what a sin was. So, for the mere fact that I am now cognizant of sin and the dislike thereof , is proof to me that God is working in my life and the truth found in this scripture.

Every trial,test or temptation is common to mankind or within the spectrum of the human experience.
There is nothing new to God in the human experience so it seems to me it means that everything is so tightly controlled and metered
that at any point he can deliver you from it but this experience only comes so that I can realize that I can endure more than I know and accomplish many other things.
So to me it means that God is ever ready to teach me how all things work together for good.

So whatever situation I find myself in God will use it to reveal his glory,equip me with
new and better tools,better ways to see things and work everything out for good.
Since he saw the problem coming he already had everything in place.

1 As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth.
2 And His disciples asked Him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?"
3 Jesus answered, "It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him.…

A few things pop out to me as I read this.....
2 Corinthians 12:9 my grace is sufficient for thee
Philippians 4:12 I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation
Galations 5:16 walk in the Spirit and you wont satisfy the lust of the flesh

If we can remember these and have been renewing our minds unto these through His written word then we wont struggle through the things each day brings our way. People can make trials and such much harder then they should have been by complaining and blaming God or others and taking their eyes and heart off of God and His written word and placing them on the situation. When we walk according to His word then we are not only more able to get through things but have given God the opertunity to get involved in the situation as well.
