A question about gifts from a new believer

I became a believer in God about 10 years ago but did nothing about it. Then, about 18 months ago God moved in my life and heart in such a way that I felt to compelled to seek Him. I attended an Alpha course run by a local church and discovered Jesus. My life has never been the same and I have never been happier. I have changed in so many positive ways.

I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on some of the gifts for me. Over the past 6 months when praying in the groups at Alpha ( I am now leading some ) I have started having images appearing. I was encouraged to share these and everytime someone from the group has said that this concerns them and they have been greatly helped by this. I was told that this is the gift of Words of Knowledge. I have read that there is such a gift listed in the bible - but did not find any specific information about how this gift presents itself etc...

Has anyone else had any simliar experiences?
Can anyone suggest any reading on this gift or should I just relax and let God keep doing what hes doing.

I was so blessed to hear of what the Lord is doing in your life. God is so amazing. Praise His wonderful name.

To answer your questions - well I have never had your experiences but I will suggest that you just relax and let God keep doing what He is doing in your life. We tend to question or even theorize what is taking place in our lives instead of trusting in the Lord. He knows what He is doing. Keep growing and trusting in Him.

The gift you have is Words of Knowledge..Example is Acts 27:9-10, what we see here is Paul perceive that something was going to happen. The Spirit allow him to see that something was going to happen. It's a good things to see your desire for more gifts, which is good according to I cor. 12:31. Plz begin reading I Cor. 12 and ask God to help you understand more about the gifts and which gifts with best help you in your ministry. God Bless.

The Alpha course is good......my wife runs the course in our village. Such joy when folks come to Jesus.

It was Jesus who said "Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it shall be opened unto you" Jesus also said "If you being evil, give good gift's to your children, how much more will Jesus give the Holy Spirit to them that ask of Him"

Our God is a God of the 'how much more' "How much more"?

Be patient ........keep asking........it is His word.....He will fulfill it

Many times the Holy Spirit will send a vision along with words of wisdom or knowledge as a means of clarifying a message He is delivering; as a way of driving the point home.

Take little concern about the "gifts" as they are given us so that we are blessed to be a blessing to others if others are being blessed that is enough. Even as Jesus found some will question the gift but that does not matter just deliver what you have been entrusted to deliver how it is recieved is between the sender and the reciever .
