Jesus himself answered this question, in John 8. Jesus is speaking directly to the Jewish religious leaders of the time. He petty much states not only are they, not Abrahams's children which to me, means offspring, but he also states that God is not their father!! the devil is !!!

“If you were children of Abraham,” said Jesus, “you would do the works of Abraham.
40. But now you are trying to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham never did such a thing.
41. You are doing the works of your father.”
“We are not illegitimate children,” they declared. “Our only Father is God Himself.”
42. Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on My own, but He sent Me.
43. Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you are unable to accept My message.
44. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out his desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, refusing to uphold the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language,

so now the question becomes what exactly is Abrahams's promise?? edit-------- seems it implies more than one promise, now this is great, and I think covers everything God said to Abraham applies only to the children of faith, NOT to the Jewish people who have no faith.

This seems to agree with what Jesus said. If you aren't the children of Abraham, unless you do what Abraham did. ( John 8:39; )
Rom 4:12; and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also follow in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham which he had while uncircumcised.

so now the question becomes what exactly is Abrahams's promise??

There were a number of them. Here's a start.

Luke 1:70; As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from of old—
Luke 1:71; Salvation FROM OUR ENEMIES, And FROM THE HAND OF ALL WHO HATE US;
Luke 1:72; To show mercy toward our fathers, And to remember His holy covenant,
Luke 1:73; The oath which He swore to Abraham our father,
Luke 1:74; To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear,
Luke 1:75; In holiness and righteousness before Him all our days.

The one Promise that seems to be one of the popular teachings that I am in conflict with is. In Genesis 17 where God Promises the land to all of Abrahams's descendants or his offspring. So to me, it is as simple as seeing who the bible says his offspring are, and it is the children of faith IMO......... but the popular teaching that is widespread everywhere says it is the natural born Jew.

To me, it is clear as day, but many claim that the promise in Genesis is only for the natural-born Jew, and not the Gentile.. I do not see it that way.

Galatians 3:29​

And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise.

Galatians 3:7​

7 Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham.

Galatians 3;16​

16 Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, “And to offsprings,” referring to many, but referring to one, “And to your offspring,” who is Christ.

No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.
