Please forgive me. I have been attacked for everything i post. If people dont agree with my thoughts and beliefs thats fine. But one person has condemned me to hell twice over this thread. I think think this thread.
Anyway all i am saying is....you can not add law to salvation.
Yes there must be laws or rules to go by, but to say i must say 3 hail Marys or clap my hands 3 times while spinning in a circle to be saved is adding to Christ work on the cross and saying he wasnt good enough,we must add this also to be saved.
I see why folk cant understand this.

But then you also go into the kitchen and make up your own tonic to take with it. You revisit the doctor and tell him youre cured. But you also tell him you also took your tonic with the pills.
You have corupted everything. Now you dont know if it was the pills the tonic or both combined together that cured you.
Same with salvation. If you add anything to "by grace through faith" you are not sure which you are relying on to see you through.

I would qualify the 'faith'. Christian faith, faith that a man who walked the earth 2000 years ago is Lord of all as in Isa 9:6 and 1 Cor 12:3. Yes, agreed!!!
But faith that God exists, that God is great and can do miracles, no. James 7:22-23 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. We always have to consider what faith exactly one is referring to. When one interrogates the required faith, you will see that it is a product of works.
So, please advise, what 'faith' exactly are you implying one needs to be saved?
Not explaining the faith you infer is like saying all works are good or all car drivers are bad.
If the faith needed is as you say ''believe on Him He sent'' what exactly does that mean? Can you be specific.

You're right. You cannot add 'Law' to salvation but you must live by certain protocols/ laws/ disciplines or you will lose the race for the crown. Old Covenant law has no place...And too, Jesus DID give us two laws to follow...laws upon which all the Old Covenant laws are hung.

I live in a nursing home. I can barely walk and have been fitted for a wheelchair...What work can I do? Or your friend? This is the primary work for any Christian.

I will tell you when you state what faith you need. You started the arbitrary space by stating ''faith'' without a clear qualification of type.
If I state the works without you grasping the type of faith we need, you will have a gotcha moment from false teaching. I need you to think on the 'type' of faith you need, first.
