The Use of the Expressions about “Ezekiel” character and name usage, can convey a “Theological” thought pattern.

If you know the whole story and have read all about his life written in the Bible. And How “GOD” used him in many different ways. You are familiar with him and character.
So if I got to know a certain Christian and his character and certain ways and observed how GOD has and is using him, everyday, observing him at, work, at his house, on the golf course, picnics, even on field trips, or skiing in the mountains, that we might be talking,
then I might say, you remind me of “Ezekiel”! And we bust out laughing. And when I explain to him how he reminds me of “Ezekiel”! As I pick up something new every time I start over. Which needless to say, I haven’t made it into the Prophets. I have looked up verses through different ones from conversations, and read that particular chapter that a verse is being quoted from, so it’s patchy for me. Well, I have read daniel, as I was in a heated one about Revelation going back and forth between the two.

So before I go any further, on this particular response, I will read up on Ezekiel, so I can at least keep up

Hey, do not be Discourage, it is not easy to read the Bible straight through, the Journey is a hard one! Just start with Matthew and go all they way to “Revelation” “NIV” cheap Good used“Thompson Chain Reference Bible” would be a excellent choice. For this 1st. Journey.

Now this is like a great task, you got to pray, you going to fall asleep, that Devil and your Flesh, and people is going to be in your way! But keep fighting until you get “Spiritual Muscle”.This is the only way you can build your spiritual muscle, keep getting back up!

It is not easy, you have “Invisible creatures” as well trying their best to keep you from completing this task.

But once you make it, and do not skip workouts you will understand.

Then you have that Journey from “Genesis to Revelations” now that one is “ Mt. Everest”, you will need “Oxygen Tanks” for That one! You will get “Mountain Altitude Sickness”,
“Edema”, and you are going to “Hallucinate” and have nightmares, and The Forces of Darkness to keep you from The Mission you are on! But you will develop experience and spiritual muscle to make this Climb. And building more muscle to complete this journey.

Something does not want you to know or see the complete picture!

You will have to pray, for the strength to do it! fast a little food only for strength, wake up in the middle of the night, some times early morning, some times stay at home by yourself!

Now I hope you are getting the idea, why it is so hard to complete the mission, you could do it in a week or two weeks top!

Then you will understand.

There will be mountains, Deserts, rivers, mud, sand, droughts, Oasis, dark places, lonely paths, valleys, just keep going. It is a journey, a great task that many do not want to make. But if you choose,

Sorry not “Ezekiel” but “ Elijah” I have been listening to the Book of “Ezekiel” read by “Alexander” Scourby” At night for about 2 months! Plus Jeremiah and Isaiah” and I hear them in my dreams And “Ezekiel” it seems is taken front seat. Since he was a “Priest and Prophet”!

Indeed I find it to be a daunting task! So much time and people!
Mt Everest is really the perfect analogy…lol…And have already experienced some pretty intense things since I started. Can very much relate to what you speak, and understand quite well what you are saying. As I’ve been in that desert, and find myself in valley’s now. Certainly experience the quick sand too! As I’m 10 years into this at the moment. (Still green though!)

Certainly backlash from those around me, but it was more because of being out of balance with it. Too much time at one time, neglecting my life in the process. It literally consumed every aspect of me. Almost became obsessive….but haven’t experienced any “evil” or “creatures” that you speak of. But I certainly have faced myself. And it was dark and ugly. Very hard to face!

But for me, the trouble getting past Judges, was because of what I came to know through spending majority of my time in the NT. I got to know the mind and Heart That Jesus displayed and showed forth! How he spoke. How he thought. How he lived. And how he Loved. I profiled him! The God I came to know through Jesus(The Heart and the mind!), was not the God that I was reading in the OT. At least from Leviticus up to Judges. (so far) Makes it hard to read it, as it seems so foreign to what “raised” me in the beginning. As I “grew up” on Matt-John. Then Acts through John 3. Almost like nails on a chalk board!!!

And the side tracking that happened for me, was the “seeming” contradictions, that had me going back and forth between O and N. Starting first and foremost with the assembling of the Bible itself.
(A question that came to me, after going through the denominations in my city: If the Bible is the word of God, and he never changes, then why does the Bible(number of books) change per denomination and culture(?)- Even wording; Which was a journey in itself:/

So, I would start over, reading different translations…thinking maybe I missed something. Only for something new to be brought to my attention…and so on…. and back around.

I certainly did find myself taking side roads. And has actually given the most beautiful perspective of the True aspects of the fullness of our God. But I do hear what you are saying, and truly appreciate what you have given me. I’ve carried that wooden stake already, and am Firmly anchored on this rock. Unmovable by any man, and can only be moved by the Spirit, when and how it says to move! Makes me comes across kinda cold sometimes. Harsh. Arrogant. But it is my confidence in what carries me, holds me, teaches me, and heals me on a daily bases.

At current, I am side tracked from my studies, as experiences, insights, growth and life circumstances have pulled me in other directions of understandings, and are creating new beginnings for me. Directions pointing to just go straight to the Prophets, as that (for me) seems to be where I need to be. As these are the Witness. The Law already written within Hence my response to this post. Sorry not “Ezekiel” but “ Elijah” I have been listening to the Book of “Ezekiel” read by “Alexander” Scourby” At night for about 2 months! Plus Jeremiah and Isaiah” and I hear them in my dreams And “Ezekiel” it seems is taken front seat. Since he was a “Priest and Prophet”!

Indeed I find it to be a daunting task! So much time and people!
Mt Everest is really the perfect analogy…lol…And have already experienced some pretty intense things since I started. Can very much relate to what you speak, and understand quite well what you are saying. As I’ve been in that desert, and find myself in valley’s now. Certainly experience the quick sand too! As I’m 10 years into this at the moment. (Still green though!)

Certainly backlash from those around me, but it was more because of being out of balance with it. Too much time at one time, neglecting my life in the process. It literally consumed every aspect of me. Almost became obsessive….but haven’t experienced any “evil” or “creatures” that you speak of. But I certainly have faced myself. And it was dark and ugly. Very hard to face!

But for me, the trouble getting past Judges, was because of what I came to know through spending majority of my time in the NT. I got to know the mind and Heart That Jesus displayed and showed forth! How he spoke. How he thought. How he lived. And how he Loved. I profiled him! The God I came to know through Jesus(The Heart and the mind!), was not the God that I was reading in the OT. At least from Leviticus up to Judges. (so far) Makes it hard to read it, as it seems so foreign to what “raised” me in the beginning. As I “grew up” on Matt-John. Then Acts through John 3. Almost like nails on a chalk board!!!

And the side tracking that happened for me, was the “seeming” contradictions, that had me going back and forth between O and N. Starting first and foremost with the assembling of the Bible itself.
(A question that came to me, after going through the denominations in my city: If the Bible is the word of God, and he never changes, then why does the Bible(number of books) change per denomination and culture(?)- Even wording; Which was a journey in itself:/

So, I would start over, reading different translations…thinking maybe I missed something. Only for something new to be brought to my attention…and so on…. and back around.

I certainly did find myself taking side roads. And has actually given the most beautiful perspective of the True aspects of the fullness of our God. You are Traveling through a “Foreign LAND”. A place You AIN’T never Traveled before!

And Also while you are traveling, you better pick a Book Entitle, “The Pilgrims Progress”. The old broken English copy! It is free online, you got the easy reading copy, then you have middle easy reading copy, but if I was you, I would read that hard reading one, with all that broken English copy, and ask GOD to Give you Understanding!

If you are the kind of “Pilgrim” I think you are, you are in for. “Treat” The Abundant Life! Is going take on a completely different meaning than The American Dream!

But not one dull moment! “If you Choose to take This Mission”

“Count The Cost” but Once you put your Hands To The Plow. And choose This Path. You better stay on it. They got “Wolves” out here and they got teeth, and The Reason the Bible says “Wolves” is because they Travel in “Packs”!

And indeed he has! I have experienced a lot of that Psalm! And said some of the very concepts (in my own way!) Amazing!!! One Spirit

Which that Law, is already written upon my heart; my conscious bearing witness, convicting and even justifying! and those precepts,(principles) are given through his prophets. Which I have picked up on in “patches” that are glaring in comparison to the rest written. Such as the “History” books contained….And when the general public is presented with it, I have gotten gnashing of teeth, and has caused much weeping within my self. I can Feeeel this Psalm. Oh so deeply….

I have every intention on doing what you say As I presented first, that the attemp has already been made! Multiple times. Yet you seem to think it is something dark, that keeps me from finishing…which is understandable! Yet for my own, I have a leading in me, that directs my paths! To certain “books” contain therein. Such as those prophets! As these ARE the testimonies! The witnesses! The barers of The Word itself! How could such a leading be of the darkness?

Especially considering that the Bible itself, is a culmination of Thousands of years, put together. With the prophets s smack dab in the middle

Oh, yes I do understand everything you have said.

The Word of GOD is always powerful for The True Child of GOD no matter which way a person reads it “Skip hop or Jump”. It can never fail. You do not even have to read some books ever in life, you can just read psalm and that’s it for it will never effect your salvation.

I have know hundreds of pastors who have confess they never read the whole book, never!

And many more Religious leaders both male and females who leads millions. I have not one thing against them.

But I am so glad a. Old Pastor told me after I got saved. Go read your Bible from front to Back before you do anything, Get to know your Bible as One Book.

He said do it “NOW” before it is to late, if you wait to long, you will never do it or Have The Time to do it.

So before I did anything I must have read my Bible 5-7 as whole in one year and the New Testament by it self along I worn it out! L outside reading the whole book as a whole, 1977 March. I began journey, and every I read it like you said. I learn or saw something brand new. After every complete reading close book and Thought “OH MY GOD”! Faster than a Flash of “LIGHTNING” a picture of The Whole Book Concerning, “I Do Not Know what call it!

It is not a”Revelation” it is not a “Illumination” it is not a “Beatific Vision” nor any kind of “ Theophany”!

But a Flash Picture that Zoomed. Like a flash of all “Jesus Maternal Grandmothers”

Example: Lots daughters, Jesus grandmothers, Rahab is a grandmother too, then Judah slept with his daughter in law who trick him by play the Role of a woman in the street, and how Jesus the only True Israel The Seed of many nations, and you find what a True is “Hebrew” and what it means. And every else has a lexicon and a dictionary explaining what a Jew or Hebrew is spreading down centuries, like a Hot Branding Iron! And you standing in the middle of The Road alone! “don’t they see this, Clear as day! And if some see it, they only half “Partial” vision. And you stand there saying, ok, ok ,ok.

You are out number, so go into a corner and shut up!

And wait on the next Bus.

I hope you get the picture, your Salvation can never be revoke, is my belief. And no matter how you study, it will all profit you, with great returns.
