Bible Scripture that encourages people to fight genocide ( or protecting people who face genocide)

I vaguely remember that there is some scripture in the Old Testament Bible that emphasizes that people should fight against genocide ( or protect people who face genocide). However, I fail to remember where it is. Could someone please find the scripture verse for me?

Proverbs 24:11-12New American Standard Bible (NASB)
11 Deliver those who are being taken away to death,
And those who are staggering to slaughter, Oh hold them back.
12 If you say, “See, we did not know this,”
Does He not consider it who weighs the hearts?
And does He not know it who keeps your soul?
And will He not a]">[a]render to man according to his work?

Is that what that means? If so, is it the only thing that it means?
