A Neobladder is a urinary pouch made from 50 -60 cm of the intestine. Whilst the lower part of the small intestine (ileum) is generally used, it is possible the surgeon may utilize the large intestine (colon).

Not an easy decision for you both, especially for your man.
I'd be a bit reluctant to go with the NeoBladder on the grounds of taking some of the intestines. Extra burden on the body. BUT, I am not a specialist and it is best to speak with them for they would have a better understanding than me.
I would have thought it would be decided before surgery, well in advance?
May you both know the real love and care of the Lord in this matter and all matters in your lives, especially that of Salvation in Jesus Christ.
