SignUp Now!On March 13, 2000, I started at a five-day retreat called, "Five Days Of Healing." After four days of solid bible teaching, and four evenings of doing business with God, on the morning of March 17, we had our deliverance session. After the class prayed the given prayer, the Spirit of God pushed all of us down onto the floor. For the next half-hour or so, the staff worked in conjunction with the Holy Spirit to free us from demonic oppression. This local parachurch ministry has been doing this since the 1970s. I thank the Lord for this ministry as I have received much freedom from it.
Deliverance ministry is not to be lightly undertaken. Ministers should know what they're doing. It's not for show. It's a very serious situation. Did you know that laying hands on people can transfer demons? Most don't. Gives a new slant to this verse...Yes the gospel the power of God can set us free. Not the hands of the confederacy .The different denominations that make up the bride of Christ the church . Men cannot cast demons without the strong man .The power of the gospel of Christ .
Falling to the floor can be dangerous both literally and spiritually. . God is not served by humans hands as a will.
You still have NOT explained that.Yes it is that work of God that works in us (not of us) to both reveal the good will and empower us to perform it .
What????jesu did it with delight some murmur and kick aginst the pricks like Jonah .
.The gospel
Philipians 2: 13-14 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
If it is not God that works in us (not of us) to both reveal the good will of eternal God and empower us to perform it .Then who the father of lies?
So good to hear that.Agree with you on that point.
Right! The choice to obey God does not require anyone to be changed internally
You lost me there.( i think the faith to believe God exists is a byproduct of sin which brings doubt)
No, I don't believe that.it wouldn't surprise me if everyone is born knowing God exists.
God only forgives sins Jesus and the Way Jesus tells us to do it.they just do nothing with their own personal conviction of sin and stay in darkness rather than asking God to forgive them.
Wow, that is remarkable. For example as early as age 3-5 i was pondering the meaning of life while playing with useless toys in the church nursery. these memories came to mind after i was complaining to God about various matters
We have to have faith and Jesus teaches us how to have it.. i've always known God exists, faith has nothing to do with that for me.
The faith required to believe God exists comes from the person's doubt.. which showed up after sinYou lost me there.
Who's post do you think it unkind, mine or your's?I've struggled over the past 2 years that I've been involved with Christian social media with how beat up I've gotten from harsh and hateful words I've received from others. At first, in order to keep my head above the water, I got tough. It worked well, but it's not who I am. I'm a worship leader...I'm sensitive. So I've decided that I will try to only respond with kindness and to kindness. Or not at all.
"…2with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3and with diligence to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;…" - Ephesians 4:3
You say faith comes from doubt. I don't agree with that. It doesn't make any sense to me, and it isn't in the scriptures. The faith required to believe God exists comes from the person's doubt.. which showed up after sin
I don't know if I was addressing anyone in particular. I was addressing an overall attitude that I've found in Christian forums. There's a harshness, a viciousness, that is highlighted against Ephesians 4. Where being right is most important. I need to get a life so I'm not so dependent on these forums.Who's post do you think it unkind, mine or your's?
You still have NOT explained that.
We have to obey JESUS.
When we OBEY Jesus it is the way Jesus works in us!
He is the Word of God!
What he says is Spirit and life and the truth and the way.
The only way to eat of his flesh and drink of his blood and receive the Holy Spirit is to OBEY WHAT HE SAYS.
You keep saying he works in us and that it is not of us, but that means WHAT????
You don't even explain you only repeat what false teachers say.
You started acting strangely after my kind post to you that I carefully answered and you didn't even answer back.I don't know if I was addressing anyone in particular. Yeah. How is what I am saying is repeating a false teaching? what the false teaching . . not trusting in or own flesh to profit for something ?
Faith alone is dead. Faith with right action is life and Spirit.Human faith as a work has no power .
Of course.Do you think you can obey him before he gives you his will ?
That is AFTER you are saved and receive the Holy Spirit.Again both working to reveal the will and also empower one to obey it.
Philipian13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Not to will and never to do? What? Can you see the word "both" above? Not to will and never to do .
That is about the GENTILES who were dead in their trespasses. That means the Gentiles did not come into the covenant with God and take care of their sin nature by doing the purification works of the law.Remember previously being dead in our trespasses and sin without hope and God in this present world .
That is a Calvin and Luther false teaching. We are power les to do nether .
No, no such thing. That is not true.Know his good will or having power of His work of faith to obey .Christ does all the work of ones salvation or he does nothing.
We receive purification and reconciliation from God, but we still have to obey. We just don't have to purify ourselves anymore, and he will raise us up from the dead.2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us
Whatever. You started acting strangely after my kind post to you that I carefully answered and you didn't even answer back.
Of course.
God does NOT save unrepentant unbelievers.
Where do ever get that God gives us His will?
That is AFTER you are saved and receive the Holy Spirit.
Whatever what?Whatever.
