It is a very Dangerous thing to say we over come, because in our fallen nature going back to Adam and Eve we have a part of us that is of flesh and that part will knowinly or Unknowingly try to cooperate with the evil one.

The important thing of course is what is in our hearts. God always knows our hearts. Even if our words are seemingly perfect, a flawed heart is never hidden from Him. It is dangerous to think about the wrong things or to bring an unfounded accusation against another.

"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." Prov 21:2

That is why we much choose to act as Mary and Cooperate with God by Allowing him to enter our hearts as she offered to be the handmaiden of the Lord to allow God to bring Salvation (Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior) Into the world. Don't you understand that our original parents did as many of us do they created the problems of the world thru disobedience and by wanting to be as God. Was that not the lie satan told eve. "Eat the forbidden fruit and you will be as God." I am nothing without God with him Everything, but Only because of him be careful not to fall prey to the works of pride from the evil one. The heresy of the sinlessness of Mary is was not approved as doctrine until later in church history, something Thomas Aquinas and Dominicans were against. I know many leaders in that church today that don't actually believe it, but cower to authority that they sadly rest in tradition and not the Word.

However, Roman Catholics are the reason I have a bible today, and even though I shudder at what awaits them due to the abuses and teachings within that body, they do have the fullness of the gospel and all they need to get right. I pray that our brothers and sisters in the faith, will repent of the idolatry that plagues their body and experience the true freedoms that comes from acknowledging that there is no other name by which we must be saved, (Acts 4:12). The truth is that there was only one who could open the scroll (Rev 5:4). Roman Catholics can look up these verses in their bibles, which we owe much of our own access of Scripture to. I would hope we would not discount the enormous contribution they have made to the faith, loving the poor, and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ, even in the midst of their sin. If Christ could love us and die for us in our sin, then we must die to our own self righteousness and pray for our brothers and sisters who are so hurt by these distortions.

Yes God is Truth but Truth without love is a resounding Gong. I am Catholic and I do believe it is his church, I also believe that it is perfection run by mere mortal men. I also say anyone who follows Christ is my Brother wheather he truly follows only God and his Heart knows.

You cannot have a sinful nature and be the righteousness of God. You are one or the other. Righteousness is by faith. If you live by faith you are righteous.

No, my friend, king1, I am not so easily offended. I am a former Catholic, but I have never been an anti-Catholic. I believe that I see errors most everywhere I go, but unless I am really impressed by God to speak, I hold my peace. Most of the Protestant churches with which I am familiar are generally speaking worse as I see than the RCC, but that is not saying any good about the RCC.

"And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God." Mark 10:18

Only One that is good, but there are some, yes I believe, even some Catholic who are "good" because they have God in them. Every man who is not yet a complete overcomer as was Jesus, still looks at himself as being more right than anyone else. When a person starts to realize that he is moving, I believe, in the right direction. but while any obstacles remain that need to be overcome the end is not yet.
Yes, only God can always correctly judge anything or any man. Sometimes God has given a person a gift of discernment, but what recipient of that gift would be so foolish as to believe himself in a position to judge others. Even if God has allowed you or I the ability to see the heart of another man in a measure correctly that does not mean that God has also granted us the authority to make a final judgment?

King1 I'm confused here...Are you talking to me in this post? If so, why would you assume that I hate Catholics? I hate no man. As for Catholics...I was raised a Roman Catholic. I know many Catholics that are born again Christians too. However I do not worship, pray to or anything to Mary. She was just a woman, one who made herself available to God for HIS glory. She was not immaculate or without sin. She was a virgin girl with failings just like anyone else. But she loved God.
There....I didn't use any scripture.
