We can already see you've taken verses out of context.
So give me your context.
You make assumptions such as "desire to condem Islam" It and Muslims have done that on their own.
Let's start with your lie #1.
"worst acts in history. "Killing for Christ" became a mantra of the Crusades and all subsequent Holy wars".
Muslims were GUILTY of invading Christians lands and all that, not innocent.
There is no historical record of that phrase being used as a chant/matnra in the Crusades. What is documented:
The Mantra "Killing for Christ" is a description of the belief system of many of the Crusaders which they implemented many, many times. I have never described Muslims as "innocent", although when cities such as Antioch and Jerusalem were taken by the Crusaders the slaughter that followed was mainly of the innocents, men, women and children who had little or nothing to do with the Battles being fought. Or perhaps you regard any "enemy", combatant or non combatant as a target for slaughter.
1. Papal and clerical rhetoric emphasized “fighting for Christ” or “liberating Christ’s tomb,” not killing in His name.
Examples from documented sources:
- Urban II’s speech at Clermont (1095) — described in various chronicles as urging Christians to defend fellow Christians and reclaim Jerusalem.
Phrasing varies by chronicler, but none record anything like “killing for Christ.”
- Crusader slogans and battle shouts:
- “Deus vult!” (“God wills it”)
- “Christus vincit!” (“Christ conquers”)
So, you're either a liar or highly ignorant or real history.
So how do you think that the Crusaders were going to "fight for Christ " or Liberate Christs Tomb", with harsh words and dialogue. If you look at the people that went on Crusade many of them were Knights and their retinues, men endured to the rigours of warfare, they knew exactly what was required of them and only too willing to do it, both in the service of the Church and the acquisition of wealth and lands. Most Crusaders understood that there were great riches in the Holy land, and as a prelude to the mass slaughter and pillage in the East, slaughtered the Jews within their midst and enriching themselves of their wealth.
Eye for an eye - "The Old Testament Law of Retaliation.
1. Limit retaliation
It prevented
escalation of conflicts, a major issue in tribal societies.
Without this rule:
- One injury could lead to a cycle of revenge killingsFamilies or clans could retaliate far beyond the harm done.
“Eye for an eye” was a way to say:
That was a major ethical improvement for its time.
But as Christians ,Christ fulfilled the law with the Commandment, "You have been told an Eye for an Eye and a Tooth for a Tooth but i say, do not resist evil, but whoever hits you on one cheek then offer them the other", yes i know , youre going to accuse me of taking these words "out of context", so enlighten me, what is your context for Christs words.
2. Standardize justice
It ensured judges gave consistent, fair penalties, rather than arbitrary or overly severe punishments.
3. Primarily result in compensation, not bodily mutilation
Rabbinic interpretation (which reflects much older practice) held that monetary compensation was typically used, not literal physical injury.
The Talmud is explicit: the verses mandate financial damages, not physical retribution (Bava Kamma 83b–84a).
Anthropologically, most ancient Near Eastern cultures—including the Code of Hammurabi—used the same language metaphorically to mean proportionate compensation.
God commanded early Christians to "kill" His enemies.
Would be interested to know where God commanded early Christians to "kill" his enemies.
Strke 2 and not looking good for you.
Love for enemies. - In essence, love first, trust conditionally as God does.
God will NOT let any unrepentant sinner into Heaven. He still loves them more than any human could but salvation and eternity with him is conditional.
I am not contesting Gods right and ability to judge everyone as he sees fit, my issue is how we are commanded to act by Christ. Do not resist evil, dont strike back, give to them that ask, is compelled to go a mile with someone, go two, Love your enemies, bless those that curse you, and on and on, this isnt just a case of "cherry picking" or taking Christs words "out of context", read the Sermon on the Mount and you will have the most radical teaching of Love, Compassion and forgiveness, thats the context,........ but you obviously think differently, so if you havent put me on "ignore" them tell me why you think that.
Your cherry picked here, out of context of course, is an example of a goal. No person can be perfect but can they work towards it. OF COURSE.
Assumption: "banish the hate you seem to feel from your Heart". I don't know any Muslims as they are repulse by us and want to kill us.
The Judge....has already spoken and spreading the Gospel includes what the Judge has said on everything.
Well if you dont know any Muslims then how do you know they are repulsed by Christians. I've met a number of Muslims, some good, some bad, some indifferent, the same cross section of humanity that comprises any group of people, not Devils incarnate intent on Destruction and domination, but then i've not met that many, but i just dont see your representation of them as being Repulsed by me and desiring my death
I've never stated, "I think...." in something regarding God and the Bible. On this problematic death cult, God has already told us how to respond. Self-presevation. Defense of others and death of the evil person if it comes to it.
God never states we should let evil go unchecked.
But thats all we have, we dont "know", any of us, we "believe", we have "faith", and we are told in our walk of Faith to walk Humbly with our God, thats why i preface many things i write with the words "believe" or "it seems", i hope i'm open minded enough to change my mind when presented with differing beliefs that contradict what i believe, because if not, then whats the point of discussing anything if we're not willing to learn what others believe and also change our minds when necessary.
CK isn't God nor is he the authority (like the Pope) in the church.
I'm not Catholic.
"you are capable of the most horrendous atrocities as evidenced throughout history" - New Flash:
SO ARE YOU.
Of course i am, i'm a great believer in the phrase "there but for the Grace of God goeth i", i often wonder what i'd have done if born in a different time, in a different culture, with a different upbringing when faced with some of the "most horrendous atrocities evidenced throughout history", i dont have the moral certainty to say i'd have stayed true to my beliefs, and even now when confronted by Evil i burn with the desire for revenge, to give back what was given, yes, an "eye for an Eye", i believe thst wrong, thats not what Christ taught, but the demons are in my Soul as they are in everyone born into Sin in this world of Greed and Hate.
