I thank Br. Bear for adding the last post, I too felt uncomfortable being called sir.
Do not take offence dear sister, I am sure it is your culture that you call people sir, but our Lord says
Matthew 23:12 (NKJV)
12 And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
The word sir is a word when we look up to people, nothing wrong in that, but I do agree with Br, Bear we are servants and we are probably not as good a servants as we should be.
The scripture quoted is a double edge sword, we are not to think ourselves great, but if we humble ourselves we are made great or exalted.
We are humble, but we are humble servants.
