John Wesley said "Denial of self is the essence of Christianity".
If loving others more than we love ourselves, loving our neighbors more than ourselves, loving our wives more than ourselves, and loving God
with all our heart, mind, soul and strength are emphasized, Is this true?
Is taking up our cross daily and dying to our worldly desires daily really the essence of Christianity?
There are many who don't want to hear this, but does that make it less true?
Luke 9:23; And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.
Luke 9:24; "For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.
Gal 5:24; Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
