Hello David! Glad you could join us here. I want you to know how much God loves you and wants what is best for you. Sorry about your parents splitting up, it happens to a lot of us. It happened to my parents also, but it was for the best, when people cant get along with each other, they resort to violence sometimes because they feel trapped in a relationship that they dont want, and they have found out that they dont really love each other. Even if they dont resort to violence, they often use hurtful language that sometimes hurts worse than death because it hurts our spirit which unlike our bodies are eternal.
No matter what happens between your parents, know that your real Father, the Lord your God, loves you and will always love you.
