Difficult Divorce

I wondering whether you could pray to the Lord for me. I have been separated from my ex husband for ten years now and he is now living with another woman. I am just beginning to file for divorce and I am finding it a wee bit difficult. I am not in love with my husband anymore and I truly want this divorce, but the strain is a bit much.

I am also trying to become ex catholic and divorce myself from the catholic church. I have struggled with this for quite some time and I need a complete divorce from the catholic church in order to bring proper Christianity to my children, who through their father are being raised as catholic children and go to the catholic school system. I want to be able to balance their life with prayer, awareness and faith in a non denominational belief in Lord Jesus Christ. It feels awful trying to leave the catholic church completely, because I truly believed all the angels and apostles were in this church. I have to get my thinking around all the false doctrine I was taught. I could even use counsel with this, if you could.

Anyway, thank you for listening to my prayer request, your prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot for your prayers. It means a lot to me to know that I am being prayed for.

The divorce is still difficult though and every time I go to do something regarding it, I almost have a heart attack. My heart goes pounding and I think I am going to fall over and die.

If you could continue praying, perhaps for my divorce to be easier to handle and less difficult, that would be wonderful.

Pixie, I too was in a divorce, but at the time i did not have God in my life.
When you go in for your hearing just remember that god is right there with you. Ask him to hold on to your hand and to give you the strength that you need he will give it to you, And you know with god on your side who can be against you. God is your rock. stand on that rock,Your sister in christ.

Hi Pixie,

I just put out a prayer to The Lord, asking him to grant you the strength and knowledge to do what you feel is necessary and what is the Lord's will.

It sounds like you are having a tough go at it. I know it's not much of a piece of advice, but just try to take it one day at a time. Especially if you feel your ticker konking out on you. If you have the Lord and your kids, you have too much to live for.
