Do you need to repent to be saved?

Since salvation is 100% God's doing Eph 2:9, you actually are implying He is making a mistake.

And you're implying that He doesn't want some to get saved. Because if they don't... it's His fault.
It's OUR faith that saves us.

Using your logic, the fact that many won't be saved.. is a mistake.

So why do people still say hes a thief..or the sinner on the cross then? He was redeemed, and repented, end of story. He was saved because he repented.

Look in the bible..He calls people to repent.

You are confusing two separate gifts.

Gift 1: Free will.
Gift 2: Salvation.

It's OUR faith that saves us.

I have to disagree 100%. We can have all the faith we want in whatever we want, it amounts to naught. Faith to believe Jesus is Lord / be born again is given to us (1 Cor 12:3, Rom 12:3) once we come to God on His terms / are saved. I don't know of a single (currently unsaved) person of faith who has walked on water like Peter did... and yet he needed God to help his faith in believing Jesus is Lord Matt 16:16-17.

The things I know of that God looks for in an unsaved person are mentioned in Psalm 51:17, Rom 12:9 and Matt 16:24. I don't see faith mentioned. It is impossible to please God without faith Heb 11:6 and that is why it is given. Faith that God wants is synonymous with salvation. Both gifts, both absolutely necessary to enter eternal life. There is zero doubt in a Christians mind as to whom Jesus is.

Just think about this BAC. The thief next to Jesus went straight to heaven. Is God fair to use some of us for longer on earth whilst knowing we would run a risk of losing salvation?

Hes a convicted thief, meaning someone whos repented of their theft. Obviously he couldnt pay it back thats why hes serving out his sentence but the important thing is he believed.

I mean I dont go round calling people abortionists or murderers if I know they repented of that crime. And actually in this day and age people seem to get Away with it they dont go to jail for it.

I know this one lady that did. Well guess what she became pregnant again later and lost the baby it was like God showing her she couldnt have it both ways. Its not likely she will ever have any children of her own. Sin has consequences.

Another lady I know was fornicating..and she Was in a mess after she was saved but by still hanging round the bf it ended up killing her as the wages of sin are death. She had mAde up her mind to repent but its very difficult if you in a party envronment by saying no you pay with your life. She died five days later..but she has eternal life.

To my mind if our flesh doesnt die due to our own sin we will die because of other peoples sin. Jesus died because of other peoples sin put him on the cross.

Death comes to all of us its a given...nobody has eternal life in the flesh here on earth I dont see christians walking around like the living dead who are 2000 years old do you? Lol. Its a fallen world, when we draw breath here chances are its going to be polluted by not just our sin but everyone elses.

When we are raised to life we will be in the new earth and new heaven.
