Do you think, Jesus will recognize the "Sabbath Day" [The 7th Day] when He Reigns in "The Millennium"?

Only for edification; unto the body of believers in Christ.

Question: Where did the names of the days of the week come from?

Answer: The Babylonians named the days after the five planetary bodies known to them (Tuesday through Saturday) and after the Sun and Moon (Sunday and Monday). This custom was later adopted by the Romans. Emperor Constantine established the seven-day week in the Roman calendar in 321 and designated Sunday and Monday as the first two days of the week. The other weekday names in English are derived from Anglo-Saxon names for gods in Teutonic mythology. Tuesday comes from Tiu, or Tiw, the Anglo-Saxon name for Tyr, the Norse god of war. Tyr was one of the sons of Odin, or Woden, the supreme deity after whom Wednesday is named. Similarly, Thursday originates from Thor, the god of thunder. Friday is derived from Frigga, the wife of Odin, representing love and beauty. Saturday comes from Saturn, the ancient Roman god of fun and feasting.

1st day, 2nd day, 3rd day, 4th day, 5th day, 6 day, 7th day. those are the names of the days given by GOD the Creator. Now Who gave them new names? and after Who, did they name them after?

Heaven and Earth has not past yet! And all things has not been accomplish.

(Matthew 5). And Jesus said:
17Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished. 19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

"I will pop the question once again," and please do not be offended because of my repetition.

"Do you think, Jesus will recognize the "Sabbath Day" [The 7th Day] when He Reigns in "The Millennium"?

Now what do you want to be called in Heaven? "
The Least or The Great"? "Simon the least or Simon the Great", "Mary the least or Mary the Magnificent"? In Heaven as you Walk the Streets of Gold? For that is just one of the rewards in heaven for faithful service.

Children of God , I think you should pick up these
"Spiritual Nuggets" I am casting down at your feet! Lay up your for yourselves teasures in Heaven.

(Matthew 6)ASV.
19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: 20but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also.

When the world ask you "what do you have in your pocket" Now what can you say?

I am only reminding you what God has said. and "That is a gift from God," Freely I have received and freely I have given..

Do not let The Spiritual Robbers steal the "Nuggets' from out of your Heavenly pockets" and keep your mind on your treasures in Heaven. and Let no man steal your crowns. You do have a "Bank" in Heaven. And your treasures will never fadeaway and you will wear them as it were arms of pure Gold and never heavy, but forever, Eternal Light!:p

Now, how do you like that meal?

Isaiah 66:23 - "And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the LORD.

Prophesy for the Millennium or for what comes after?

The word sabbath is not a time sensitive word . An error that many mistakenly do . Its translation simply means rest. with no other meaning as a oral tradition added. Adding and not rightfully dividing takes away from the intent of the one author Christ. . . .

The Son of man Jesus's flesh has nothing to do with the finished work of the father . Some did know the work of the father that worked powerfully worked in Jesus ..but that 33 year window of opportunity has vanished. God is not a man.

2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

The seventh day rest . . our eternal rest is the same rest we receive any time we hear the word and we harden not of our hearts (Hebrew 4) .mixing of faith . Then we are empowered to do it according to his work of faith in us (Philippian 2:13)

The 7th day sabbath gospel fast, was a feast to share with those who have less. Two days no servile work could be done . One day to prepare the mana (What is it ?) to represent the daily bread the will of the father the other to eat. or drink in honor of the day God rested. Again prepare and drink the witness of two that God has spoken two days of rest.

On one occasion a person must of ignored the ceremonial law (shadow) and gathered wood to prepare on the day it was eaten . He was killed . Two days were required

Numbers 15: 31-35 Because he hath despised the word of the Lord, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him. And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. (the day to be eaten not the day of preparation ) And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation. And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

The true sabbath fast is the feast we can share rather than what the bible calls smite with fist of wickedness . "who is the greatest " like that of Luke 9 . The apostles not understanding of the series of parables (Hid from them ) played who is the greatest with Jesus standing right in front .

Isaiah 58: 4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high. Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord? Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward. Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

I would suggest .( I am learning) Learn how and what it means to "mix faith" yoked with him. . . he our teacher comforter makes that learning burden as well as others lighter .

Sabbath another of three or so words that should of been given the english translation rather than that of paraphrase. . someone's private interptation. Sabbath a non time sensitive word.

Hebrew 4:1-3 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world

I don't matter to me anymore. Only Christ, matters to me, now.

Oh my yes plough I have learned the highest form of worship is resting in Him.. for many are out in the world working for their worldy desires.. forgetting it is He whom gave them the strength to do so He whom opened the doors to do so but sadly many strengthen the hands of the wicked instead of doing what we His children are told to do.. hopefully they too will enter for He is Long Suffering I can surely testify to that frfr after all the horrible things I have done in this life..

He is such a wonderful Father..

Twistie :broken_heart:

As long as what we do decide to do-- isn't considered a good work to get us to heaven.

Rom 14:5,6
That passage says nothing about the Sabbath. Verse 6 explains to what verse 5 is referring; that the verse is talking about eating or not eating on certain days of the week. There just isn't any reason here for thinking that Paul is talking about the Sabbath. The specific reason that he wrote the chapter is summed up in verse 20: "Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food".

Look, I'm not advocating here for the keeping of the Sabbath. I'm merely pointing out that Romans 14 isn't appropriate as a proof text for saying that Sabbath observance doesn't apply to Christians.

Rom 14:5 "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind".

What are YOU fully persuaded about "Days"?

@rstats -- you're talking about during the 1.000 yr reign of Christ. That's a fair amount of time in the future. Does it really matter when Jesus Christ has us worshipping on Saturday or Sunday?!

Now I know you're just messin' with me since I've already said what I believe verse 5 is talking about with regard to days.

I was merely replying to PloughBoy's commemt about
Rockerduck's post that he (Rockerduck) was avoiding the question.

Jesus is our Sabbath. That makes everyday the Sabbath. Days of week doesn't even enter into it.

Heb 4:4; For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: "AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS";
Heb 4:5; and again in this passage, "THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST."
Heb 4:6; Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,
Heb 4:7; He again fixes a certain day, "Today," saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS."
Heb 4:8; For if Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that.
Heb 4:9; So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
Heb 4:10; For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.
Heb 4:11; Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.

No one still have not answer the question about Jesus> Everyone is Tap dancing and avoiding the Question.

"Do you "think", " JESUS" will recognize the "Sabbath Day" [The 7th Day] when He Reigns in "The Mil
I've been gone awhile. No I do not think Jesus will recognize the Sabbath in the millennium. He did away with the Mosaic Law at the Cross. Jesus never goes backward. A new covenant will have to be made.
