Does God really love us?

It is just a question with the interest of what the reaction would be. I am not implying that He doesn't, but sometimes I wonder since so few find their way to heaven. One slip up and we are burning in hell.

No one 'finds their way to heaven' on their own -- the Holy Spirit covicts a person of their sin -- and when He's convicting we know it. We need to acknowledge our personal need For salvation -- My personal sins that makes Me a sinner.
Then we believe in our heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our / my/ sins and that He rose again bodily on the 3rd day after His death. He went to hell 'in my place / for me'. And I acknowledge that nothing I can do personally will help my salvation happen. I achnowledge that it's all of Jesus Christ -- His shed blood is sufficient to take care of my sins. And I thank God for His gift of salvation and I accept His gift.

If it were based on our good works -- then-- yes, one slip up and we're going to end up in lake of fire and brimstone.

But Once a person Does accept Jesus Christ -- the Holy Spirit comes to indwell us and That changes us Inside. We will have New , Better desires to read and obey God's Word. And we will have the Holy Spirit to guide us. When we Do mess up -- He will let us know so that we can acknowledge that wrong thing and ask forgiveness. It's not being saved again. It's just keeping a good relationship between us and God. And that gives us inner peace that feels really good.

I HAVE asked Him but I have been baptized so I will not see who I was before. This was not hard for me to read! I know this! What I had asked you before was to please tell me how to FAST. I was not raised knowing about fasting, and only recently have I learned of its spiritual importance and I am being called to do it but I do not know how and when I look online all I find is weight loss fasts and though I expect to lose weight if I fast, this is not my goal for doing it nor my motivation.

Fasting in the Bible -- is usually for a specific purpose -- to find God's Will in a given situation. It's going without nourishment for a specific period of time -- water to keep hydrated. But -- if a person is diabetic or has health issues -- check with your Dr. before doing that. It's something to be done privately.

Matthew 6: 16 - 18. Fasting is refraining from eating food. Spend time reading Scripture / praying. But not to be considered as a 'good work' to earn favor from God.

Being baptized does not take away your memory of previous sinfulness. But it Does represent a newness of life in Christ.

If God called you to fast, He will cause you to fast, in secret. In a way He wants you to do it in. Don't press it
