Then He said to His disciples, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Luke 12:22
Jesus emphasized peoples' need to trust God when He said not to be anxious and filled with care about their daily needs--even when it came to trusting that they'd have food to eat or clothes to wear. And He says the same thing to you today.
Maybe this comes without difficulty for you. You may be an easygoing person who doesn't get worked up about things, who just naturally assumes that everything will work out--to the point that your nonchalant attitude alarms your wife, who gets very anxious when cash is short.
But if you like to be in control of things, on top of details, and concerned when it looks like things just might go off the tracks, then today's verse is for you too. It's good to be concerned about details. Diligent people are concerned. That's how they get ahead in life--by not letting important things slide. But you need to be able to take care of business and trust God at the same time.
Prayer: God, You want me to care about meeting my family's needs, but help me not to obsess over them, to simply do my best, and to trust You for what I can't do.
