Downstream consequences when a child unknowingly assumes God like qualities.

I've noticed my secular friends seem unable (or don't care) to make a particular distinction;

1. feeling you know someone vs
2. knowing the truth about someone (as God can only do)

In my mind this is a distinction between truth and a lie.

What is going on here?

Not sure what you are asking but it reminds me of this;

A man i never met before once got confused, insisting he knew me from somewhere. When he asked did we go to the same church together, i recognized later that he was confusing his spiritual discernment that the Holy Spirit knew me, for his own familiar human discernment of meeting a person from a long time ago.
