I voted yes. I believe Jesus will come in my life time. We need to share the gospel with the unsaved because we never know when he will come and when he comes it will be too late for the unbelievers.

Matthew 28
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
KJV

I believe that we are living in the end of times. I feel that this is the beginning of the last chapter here on earth as we know it, before our Savior returns. There have been a couple of times within the last month that, after I turned in for the night, I pictured it in my mind and had the feeling within, of His coming. It gave me a weird but calmly joyous feeling. One of the times, I even put my bathrobe in a place where I could easily grab it on my way out the door.

There have been times when I've wished that He would hurry up!

I believe that yes, we are in the beginning of the end times. However, I do not believe CHRIST will come back in my lifetime. While things are bad and the signs are becomming more clear, I don't fee it is "bad enough," if that is possible! I believe GOD will delay the final destruction until all those He calls His own come to him and that is our responsibility as Christians to bring others to CHRIST.

No disrespect intended GIRL, but are we living on the same planet?
What are you trying to say?

Absolutely!!! I believe we are living in Matthew 24 times. Has anyone heard of a Jesus Miranda, who claims to be the second coming of Jesus?? He has millions of folowers. Yes, the enemy is not hiding anymore. he's exposing his dirty laundry and not ashamed of it. But the Word of God declares in Romans 5:20 But where sin increased, grace increased all the more. Praise God for this forum!! and brother Chad.
No, I've never heard of this "Jesus Miranda" - what country does this person come from and how old is this person?

Sister, it does not matter who this person is. You see, we need to spend more time focusing on the one and only TRUE Jesus Christ, preaching the Gospels and therefore those who receive Jesus as Savior will accept His Word as infallible. As a result of this decision and growth, the truth shall set them free and show them the false prophets out there, including this "Jesus Miranda" person/cult.

When we teach about Jesus, all the false teachings are exposes because the Word is infallible and all powerful.

No one knows when Jesus will come back, but the point is, we need to be ready because we don't know when he will come. So when the Lord speaks to your heart, please don't turn him away.

Revelation 3:3
"Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee."

Dear Chad,
I agree that we don't need to know who the false prophets are by name, just that we are aware they are out there and to watch. In Matthew, Chapter 24, Jesus tells us about the signs of the end times. He (JESUS) does say that the false prophets will deceive many, so I agree that our job is to preach/teach sound doctrine of JESUS CHRIST so that many will be saved.

Jesus Miranda is a preacher from South Florida who was exposed in a recent issue of Charisma Magazine. And,yes,he does preach that he is Jesus Christ returned to earth.Apparently he is deceiving many of the Cuban exiles living in that area.

I think it is important to identify these people publicly in the hope that some will be protected from deception.

I realize we don't know exactly when Jesus will return, but I voted yes. Although sin and wickedness have always existed, there seems to be something different happening in the world today....escalated and accepted wickedness and immorality, among other things.

I do believe that it is agreed by all that the signs have, without a doubt, begun and that we are approaching Christ's coming shortly, whether "shortly" be in God's realm or ours.
I would like to mention though, that in talking with people of all ages, Christian and non-Christian, I have noticed that they feel the passing of time here on earth going by like a bullet, and are amazed at how quickly the months (etc.) are going. That tells me that even though He will arrive again in a set amount of years, whatever they will be, the years will most likely fly by for us at a unheard of rate of speed.
Whether any of us will see this happen or not, we don't know. All the generations wonder if they are the ones who will see it. The words, "Be ready" could not mean any more than in this case though, whenever it will be.

Mark 13: 23 "So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time." NIV

How can we hasten it?

Brothers and sisters, what I think about when it comes to the "day of the Lord" is how long that our Lord Jesus has been awaiting His reward. Like Joseph long ago, the Lord wants to be vindicated in front of His own brothers, the people of God--the house of Israel. Any time that is left is there to bring in all those lost who can be found And that is where we must place ourselves-- to be available to pray and be used by "the Lord of the harvest".
"Please teach us to be better fishers of men, Lord, for Your Name's sake. Amen"

Re: End Times

Did you know that we (the church) have influence over how soon the Day of the Lord comes? The sooner we complete the end time harvest, the sooner that day will arrive.

""You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming." (2 Pet 3:11b-12a)

End Times

:lightning yup i believe christ might come in my lifetime too and I believe we are in the birth pains of the end times:lightning

the end time is irrelivent the first thing Jesus says in response to the questions asked by the disciples in matthew 24 is watch out that no one decieves you, to me Jesus is saying be on guard to back this up the parables that follow are about remaining watchful. the question is not are we in the end times but are we prepared for them spiritually.

I agree with you, aaroncam85. In prophesying the destruction of the temple (which occured in A.D.70 when the Romans sacked Jerusalem), Jesus is telling the disciples to not root their spirituality in temples (or church buildings) because those things are only temporary.

But, being the worldly people they were at the time, they just didn't get it. They were thinking only of their physical safety; they wanted make sure they were somewhere else when the destruction started.

Do you think we are in the end times? Specifically, do you think Christ will return in your lifetime?

You may choose only one

I believe that our Lord is coming and He's coming when least expected. Jesus told us in the bible to be ready all the time. He wants us to be ready all the time.

Matthew 24:44: Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Luke 12:40: Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

If we say, well our Lord is delaying His coming, then we're doing something seriously wrong and that is to neglect His word.

God bless you.

I remember being in church when I was 19 (I'm 54 now) and this man stood up and said that God had given him a vision and that Jesus would be coming back to get us within the next 7 years.

Anyhow, I think that things are not nearly as bad as they are gonna get. The world is not in complete chaos, we still enjoy a lot of peace and security, for most of us our families and ourselves are healthy, we have a lot of freedom to pursue our dreams, and we are not being forced to worship some god we don't believe in.

.

If this world gets much more worse than it is now then I don't want to be here! I think it is bad enough already. But most of the chaos will occur after the rapture, during the tribulation period - like worshiping some god we don't believe in etc.

Jesus said we won't know the day or the hour, but we will know when the time is near.

I believe it will be in my life time, but if not most definitely in the next generations's life time because so many end time prophecies have and is being fulfilled.

I think that we are all on the right track here, we should be expecting Jesus to come and to come soon, in our lifetimes. We shouldnt argue about weather it is or it isnt the end times. I think all who believe and who have believed before us Know that Jesus will be coming soon, possibly in their lifetime. I think so too! how would we act if we didnt think he was coming, in comparison to how we act when we know he will be here soon?

Yes Jesus is coming soon

Not only do I believe that Jesus will come back in my lifetime but I believe that He will be coming back between 2008 and 2010. Just because people have been saying He is coming soon for 2000 years does not mean that He will never come back. If He is coming He will be coming some time. Billy Grahm said that either Jesus must return soon and punish the wicked or He will have to go back to Noah and Sodom and Gomorah and apologize. There are so many things that are happening that are prophecy that could not happen until now. For example. Revelation talks about a 200 million man army. They have that now in China and Russia. But this was only possible as of 2006 or so. The mark of the beast had no way to keep track of people until the computer age. Ezekiel talks about mens toungues melting in their mouths before their bodies hit the ground. This is nuclear, only available as of now. Look at the rapid increase in sin, natural disasters, over population, pestilence, wars, etc. If Jesus does not return within the next few years there will be nothing for Him to return to. Jesus comands us to know the season. If you do not know that you know that Jesus is returning any day than I suggest that you read the Bible and look around and open your eyes to what is happening all around you.

Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

Amos 5:19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

Amos 5:20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

II Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

II Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

II Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

II Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

II Peter 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

II Peter 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

II Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

II Peter 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

II Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

I believe that the Lord will be here soon. I don't know if it will happen in my lifetime, but my life will end in my lifetime.

I do believe that we are close, but not necessarily because of an increase in earthquakes, or wars, although those things should be noted. I believe that the number of people professing Christianity and the divisions of it are as much of a sign as anything else; making it more and more difficult for unbelievers to trust, making it more and more difficult for one to decide what to believe.

I also find interesting the number of people who seem to be convinced that they will be able to identify the days when they do get here, the Antichrist when he shows up. I look for it to be very deceptive days.

II Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

II Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

II Thessalonians 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I believe this delusion from God to be mostly for those who claim Him by mouth, but who hold back. This is going to be where He knocks the fence-sitters off onto the other side to be judged for their hypocrisy. The lukewarm in Christ.
